Imo albeit that marineresco has never won over 1400 I strongly belive that this horse needed the break after a strong campaign in CT and in dbn,I belive that marin has the beating of this field.
Forget about the rest gents let's go fr the punt

Race 1: Some well bred first timers -Captains Treasure and The Big Chill stand out. Of the raced runners So Vain and Radiant Cut fair debuts.
Race 2: Trojan Harbour good improvement last time and is the one to beat.
Race 3: Arran Isles fair form but can't have her from that draw. Pina Colada tries this track for the first time after two good runs and is my selection. Marcus sticks with Tweed Valley despite poor second run so should be respected.
Race 4: Weak handicap so anything possible. Strummer has good form albeit on poly, so could be the right one.
Race 5: Flying Silver has fair form and pole draw. Stablemate Ever Dear returns after a two year break, but obviously has talent. Highway Eightyfive has good form and is another to be considered in a competitive and open race.
Race 6: We have Final Judgement in the Fillies Guineas. She has a good winning chance. 2 kg better off with Gimme Six for less than a length beating, and has been a bit ahead of the consistent Sail on most occasions. Ektifaa last two runs below best, but on the Choice Carriers run we are 1kg better off for a length beating so not much between these top four fillies who should fight it out. Lady of the House has good form and could surprise. Dawn Calling has yet to regain her 2yo form but cant be ignored.
Race 7: A very open race with all of 1,2,3,4,5,10,11 possibles. Copper Force looked a bit in need of the run last time, and is a tentative selection.
Race 8: This may be a bit short for Marinaresco. Captain America appeals most from a good draw, and stablemate Sail South must be respected despite his wide draw. All of New Predator, Champagne Haze and Victorious Jay should be included in quartets.

As is the norm zero information on sahra website regarding going rainfall and position of false rail..maybe they hoping for scratchings in the 3rd race where 14 horses are carded so they can then decide the false rail .Was going to go racing but after watching top racing on a fair and world class surface today it would be a big downer so watch the circus on tv

Two of my July picks in Marinaresco and Black Arthur make their Durban debuts. This is way too short for the former and the latter may still find this short too, while needing it a touch. Not expecting much from either today but will be hoping for good come-on runs. No bet for me in the Drill Hall.
Horizon for me in the Guineas but with no confidence. Copper Force to win it if he fails.

Captain America opened 11/2 i think for today`s race, must be some confidence with him now being 3/1
