I was told that BW were bleeding a while back and replaced the MD Michael Weir with a guy called Dean Finda. Apparently the new guy has limited all risk to the degree that accounts are being closed for wins as low as 10k. I wont repeat what my bookie had to say about Finda

The rip-off artists that are Betting World had the betting at 13/10. When I asked for 15/10, as is available throughout the industry, they said that I could have a maximum win of R5,000 at 13/10 and then promptly said that I could have 12/10 because I was betting 'big'
Thinking that this was daylight robbery I spoke to one of their 'traders' in Durban and his words were, "13/10 was industry best price and 12/10 is the industry average"
Ummm, no 16/10 is industry best price and 15/10 is industry average. Did this idiot seriously think that any mug with a smartphone couldn't access a range of prices instantaneously
It's not the price short robbery that pissed me off - they are a business and if they choose to run it like a bunch of monkeys, then that's their business. What pissed me off was the fact that (1) they seem to take all of the customers as idiots and (2) the blatant lies
This is an organization to be avoided!
You can't be serious !!!
What a farce and they claim to accommodate for high rollers at their club de 'lete' .
Bookmakers don't exist anymore it's become a joke

I was invited to the elite club on sat and met Neil P and mentioned the poor place price odds and he says that Dean is the man that does the odds

He was their oddsmaker before he joined them ........if I had to guess at why the risk aspect has been throttled since he became staff,it would be that remuneration is probably linked to profit!

Popped in to the Kenilworth branch on the racecourse. I thought maybe there was a bomb scare it was so quiet.
I wanted the double Legal Eagle on to Hack Green. No betting they tell me. How can this be? Who should I contact to take this further?

Had a run in with Bettingworld a few months back, left a sour taste to say the least. Won 2 Soccer 10's via the tote betting platform on their site, withdrew some of the funds and proceeded to place a few bets with the rest,
Few days later I get a call advising that a decision has been taken by management to close my account and that all balances in the account would be confiscated. They reasoned that I had placed a tennis bet after the start time of the match. This was complete nonsense of course and I tried in vain to have the decision reversed.
If anyone's ever tried using the Bettingworld site after 2am in the morning, you would be aware that it almost impossible to get a bet on. The website hangs before giving a timeout error message. The catch is that your bets fail, but I've had an experience where my balance remained unchanged after trying to submit a bet. Check my account the next morning and poof, funds debited for the bet. This happened maybe 3 or 4 times over a few months, in all fairness Bettingworld initially voided these phantom bets win or lose and acknowledged that there was a technical issue.
This was unfortunately the same reason they used to rationalize that I had placed a late tennis bet and that the account needed to be closed. Called in countless times and was promised that someone from management called Sanjit or maybe Ranjit would be in touch soon. Never received a call or had any contact with them and my account remained closed with the funds confiscated. Beware of these guys. Glad that I managed to get my initial withdrawal processed before they got their dirty paws on it.
Another side question: When these bookies host the tote on their websites, are winnings due to customers paid from their own pockets? Is it reimbursed by the tote operator at a later date? Or does the tote operator cover all transactions and pay the bookie a percentage ?

If it`s the actual TOTE pool your betting into the Bookie has no liability and earns if you win or lose

I gave the gambling board a call, was advised that the person in charge of such matters would call back as he was not available. Also left a few mails which were never returned, even tries contacting the Western Cape government in the end. Lost all will to chase the matter and just left it.

Are you joking have you ever seen the Gambling Board around Larry,
He has them in his pocket big time , a long time ago , so then Betting World would to. What about World Sports Betting , same thing , all about they trade and which direction the money must flow , My gut feel is Supa Bets will be the biggest , Top Brass have big shares in it .
It all off Betting world , World sports and any other have a price slighty smaller and Super Bets offer a point different where will you go, all a colution that's all I know,
Go back to the Triple Crown day Interviews and watch Larry and the CEO of the Gambling Board - Best Best Friends
Ben the fact that no one has contacted you is also not surprizing, It falls under the Minister of Trade and Industry's , don't think they are going to be running to your assistance anytime soon.
Its a catch 22 and Corruption out plays a hand full of Punters always.
