Have you seen how badly the big firms are betting for a place on the Cup.

Betting World: Juxtapose (16-1) are 2.48 a place first 4.

Betting World: Saratoga Dancer (12-1) a place 1.86

Surely any horse at 16-1 should be 4-1 a place like UK.

Do you agree?

Cheers,

Just to compare apple for Apple let's take a same price horse example

Puntas is 16/1 with BW and HW and it's 28/10 for a place first 4 with Hollywood
When u say a 16/1 shot with betting world is 2.48 is that a win or including stake
Is it 14/10 or 24/10 ?
If it's 14/10 then it's a serious descrepancy and on the verge of illegal imo

i have been going to their branch at greyville for decades and also an account holder for just as long and sadly they have gone backwards very quickly in the last 12 to 18 months ..prices arent competitive their customer service in the branch is non existant all together a very poor show as it is an ideal location but is not well patronised ...was hoping supabets influence would rub off on them but havent seen it yet. Just occurs to me to THEY have the same problem that many sectors within the industry haVE...NEPOTISM NEPOTISM NEPOTISM

THOSE ARE THE PRICES YOU SEE on the left hand side and when you look at the percentages that they bet to which are clearly the prices bettingworld offer to their clients its daylight robbery..its no use going down to 115 percent when the horses are loading...i have accounts with about 5 bookies and i have used them once in the last 4 months as they havent been competitive and also they have limited my account to peanuts ..

Was there as a guest in the VIP area ..........machines unmanned,no bar service and basic kitchen type furniture.-makes me smile everytime I hear them pat themselves on the back when discussing their relationship with their clients (and the guy I was with had just had his limits cut, nogal!)

There is your answer to your question. Just like most things in life where money is concerned you have an elitest club. Look around you and you will see what I mean. The haves will always be offered the best deals whilst the have nots will subsidise those very offers for the haves. Free champagne all round for the haves where the have nots will pay over the top for the very same champagne, see where I am going. I have been around the block far too many times to be taken

When I was in there I asked for 15/10 for a popular rugby international sports bet that was being bet on around the world. WSB was betting 15/10 and Oddschecker had the odds range as 14/10 worst to 16/10 best.

The rip-off artists that are Betting World had the betting at 13/10. When I asked for 15/10, as is available throughout the industry, they said that I could have a maximum win of R5,000 at 13/10 and then promptly said that I could have 12/10 because I was betting 'big'

Thinking that this was daylight robbery I spoke to one of their 'traders' in Durban and his words were, "13/10 was industry best price and 12/10 is the industry average"

Ummm, no 16/10 is industry best price and 15/10 is industry average. Did this idiot seriously think that any mug with a smartphone couldn't access a range of prices instantaneously

It's not the price short robbery that pissed me off - they are a business and if they choose to run it like a bunch of monkeys, then that's their business. What pissed me off was the fact that (1) they seem to take all of the customers as idiots and (2) the blatant lies

This is an organization to be avoided!
