Louis, for the record in my studying I did not have her in my top four. When I saw the betting just before the race I had a mini panic and bankered her in a trifecta as a cover bet.

With this type of horse, it is normally more rather than less racing that let's the penny drop....And also some assertive commands from the saddle.
We sometimes get too excited about a maiden win. When I saw the price for today, I had to let everyone know to be cautious....
The programme is what it is. On 1st October, we have about 20 nominations. She will probably run there in the Sophomore. But because of the grass and because I felt that she would need a race first, I threw in today's race. This is not ideal, but I cannot change the programme.
The bottom line is wear and tear. There is only so much that each horse can take in its career. Why shorten that career through grass gallops on Winter turf in Gauteng ? That's my thinking....
