Inara obviously the best horse in the field and will win if at best...........but a lot would depend on how long she has been up here and if she has acclimatized, many Cape horses have shown that they need some time up in Gauteng
Should Inara fluff her lines, I think one of the Tarry inmates Tiger's Touch or Trophy Wife will win

Disappointed that all the P6 fields are rather small?
Marcus does not have a ride in the EC Stakes? No Woody or De Kock in EC Stakes?
Will go for Trophy Wife to beat Inara, TW owes us punters BIG TIME!!

Olma for me. Inara not the best traveller as we saw last season. Doesn't seem to fancy right handed tracks but may change with the long Turffies straight. Olma rated a 107 and Inara at 111. With the travelling aspect adding a question mark, 8/10 not for me. 9/2 for Olma seems a cracking price for a horse in the form of her life. Sturgeon to get a well deserved grade 1. Trophy Wife not for me, gone backwards IMO since her 2nd in this race last year.
Inara and Olma should easily fill the first two places, with preference for the latter. Boxed exacta should be a safe play too.

Agree ...........if INARA runs to her rating ,she wins, but she didn't run to more than 102 in Dbn last year and maybe she prefers "home games"
Will definitely take cover on her!

Obviously some horses improve with age, others do not, but in the Woolavington last year, Trophy Wife beat Olma by almost 3 lengths, and for me, the KZN form does not inspire a lot of confidence, so I prefer TW to O - but as mentioned, if the real Inara shows up, she will be the one to beat

Frodo can you see much pace in the race?maybe sensible lover or maybe tarry will sacrifice intergalactic or vino veritas stays much further and her only hope will be to lead?the whole altitude story has always fascinated me with some saying you have to be up on the Highveld for 4 to 6 weeks and others saying up to a mile you can get away with it going up the day before..david payne took up a string to the Highveld and he had 2 stayers in it one of them being white tie affair aimed at the ok gold bowl over 3200m at tftein but the he brought up another horse the day before the race his name being golden peak ..result golden peak won the race with white tie affair2nd and im sure 3rd was the other payne runner..there are no hard and fast rules imo as every horse is different...hopefully naresh can confirm the facts...david thistleton has posted an article on inara whereby they say they are much happier with her this year to last year as they have different boxes which are lot less dustier..gvn has ridden her in work and he says she feels better than last year....my sentimental choice is olma but tigers touch if they don't go to quick could be a huge runner with her turn of foot ..great race and some quality racing on show
