Saftote-very hard to support

The debate continually rages as to why punters should support the tote, and it's products, but those who say that seem to regard incompetence and poor service as reasonable and a norm ..................perhaps they are most compatible with that scenario.
Lets take the Jackpot QUICK mix for example ...............they arrange the legs to provide a "short period" bet ,but for instance ,today they show an ordinary Kempton race and show the Ascot race (last leg of Qmix) in a delayed form??????????
There is no ticket updating ,and nearly an hour after the last leg ,no results or dividends. What is the point of a quick bet, with longer than normal delays in results and dividends?

We are now getting a new Director of racing at "P" .............lets hope its finally one who understands customer service!

(BTW, have just contacted customer care to query why no results .....................all gone home )

Update: now 7:35pm - 2 hours since last leg run................no results or dividends (therefore no credit in account)

Wow , caught the qmix .....1st leg abandoned followed by a horse paying R16.30 , a horse paying R9.30 and finally s horse paying R12.70.
Knew that it would get a back a little at the end of the day ................ But I now see my stake refunded ??????
I guess it's a tote cock up and entire bet abandoned after I caught it!!!!!!.........I wonder if this will get the same publicity as the guy who knowingly put his P6 on the open bet and got limited?

Perhaps all the tote supporters will explain to me how reasonable this situation is!!!!

So was the bet regarded as null and void as still showing zero under payouts on tab online?

I am assuming so as under "past results" it shows zero , as you say ........going to be interesting to hear their explanation how my bet was accepted into a bet that didn't exist !
These are the same people who state that pools and payouts can't be manipulated ie 5/1 shots paying R1 a place!!
I will be having a meeting with the board member in charge of tab online or I will do what it takes to explain the situation........not so much for the amount involved which won't be enormous , but to get to the bottom of what really happens at the tote!

so if all the above is true then the whole pool gets refunded in my opinion at least half of this pool will be unclaimed ..it amazes me how Phumelela put up wit such poor results year in a nd year out from turnover on local racing surely its time for a change at the top

Methinks the mystery overseas punter cancelled his QMix bet/s and in so doing negated the pool !!!

It has been an unfunny joke for a long time now... :(

I always find the tote system confusing...the pools can be closed at the off with no allowance for any future bets after this time and yet when there is a false start and / or the favourite scratched, the pools can be "re-opened" to allow further bets to be taken...surely this opens up the possibility that additional bets are placed after a race has been run as the pools sometimes only show closed well into the race and at times even after it has run...I have seen the tote reflect as "closed" with one set of dividends and then "closed" again a minute of two later with slightly different dividends reflecting for some numbers...just find it all strange...

And if it requires some sort of override to re-open, what audit is done of these events to ensure that no manipulative / dodgy additional tickets are added and what are the results of those audits...

Pirates, one of my questions in my proposed meeting ........can online punters at least share unclaimed refunds or do they intend to just bank that?

I have always believed that there is a serious lack of management of Tab-online from Exco level and it is interesting that ,in this instance ,a dividend of nil has been declared and stakes returned.
The lack of any statement on the website or anywhere else would suggest that this may be a solution that evolved and was decided at a low level of management,at TAB.
This should get interesting!
Update:I see that the explanation has been given to Sporting Post ..................interesting the fault is officially a technical error which in their case is code for "incompetence"
