Seeing that the Rugby world cup are starting today I thought that I would start this thread
Discuss matches and predictions here
Maybe their are a few experts that can advise us what to bet
the Boks will have a tough campaign
If they are top of their group, which they should be, they will either meet England or Australia in Q Final,
I think the Boks might prefer to play England (if Aus beat England in Group game they will be runners up and play the boks)
should they win that one they will probably meet All Blacks in the semi finals
If they could win that I think they will win final
It seems that the All Blacks is not so effective when they play in the Northern Hemisphere therefore I think Boks have a chance to beat AL Blacks
I remember in the 2007 WC in the Q-finals I took an ATC for 15000/500 England to beat AUS and France to beat All Blacks.,

Have moved this through to the main forum for the duration have fun with the egg chucking..
All the bookies have promos on try score, money back if your bet loses in the final so shop around .
Nice touch from Interbet they have loaded up some celeb players accounts and all proceeds get donated to charity

I'm in agreement, some of the minnows on the hcap look attractive.
I've been looking at other markets which i don't play, one being on Hollywood under match exotics, bit of a grey area for me, i've looked under there t@c's but cannot find the rule for this bet ... see below
Example
England vs Fiji
Match Exotic
England to score 1st - 2nd half (7/20)
Fiji to score 1st - 2nd half (18/10)
My understanding is the team (bet type) has to score in both halves being it a try / penalty / drop goal?
OR
does it mean the team (bet type) has to score in both halves with a try but excludes penalties and drop goals?

Re: RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015

Lots of opinions so let me add mine .....
I agree with most who say that we will struggle to even reach the final; not sure about Samoa, but Scotland may be a threat in the pool game; win or lose there should not make that much of a difference though, as we should face either Australia or England in the quarters as Wales imo has been dealt a blow with Halfpenny out - not sure if they have another kicker of that caliber?
Whether we face England or Australia also is rather immaterial imo as I think the outcome of either of those games will depend a lot on playing conditions and the referee (Northern Hemisphere especially that French guy not good for us).
And if the gods are on our side in the quarters, we will most likely face the All Blacks in the semi's - and imo we will need to get lucky in order to beat them. But IF we do survive the 2 tough challenges in the quarters and the semis, the final should be a breeze in comparison.
Everybody and his dog have their opinions on the coach and the team selected - in terms of the coach, yes I agree his tactics are sometimes questionable, but I'm not sure that we have somebody better available? And 'hitting the other team until they fall down' has always been part of SA rugby - like it or not - that style brought us 2 World Cups - our defense has always been our strong point and no team in the world (apart from the AB's maybe) will be able to run circles around us if we scrum and maul, scrum and maul and then scrum and maul some more - and hopefully have a few flashes of brilliance from the backs to score a try or 2. It's not pretty but it works in World Cups.
Looking at the way the Blue Bulls are playing in the Currie Cup, the next World Cup may signal a change in the way we play - but for this one, I think we will stick with the tried and trusted.
And imo Meyer has selected the personnel to carry out this game plan; for me I think he could have done a better job at selecting (but of course nobody will ever agree 100% on who should play where); the best 3 scrumhalves (apart maybe from du Preez who we have not seen in action for quite a while) are sitting in SA (Reinach, Hougaardt and de Klerk); Coenie Oosthuizen has never impressed me as being strong enough in the scrums - so I think we could be in big trouble if either 'The Beast' or Jannie du Plessis get injured (and that's not unlikely as they are both 'veterans'); Kirchner would never have made my squad (where is Frans Steyn); Morne Steyn - why do we need 3 flyhalves - will he even get a game? And so on .....
So for me we could have put together a 'better' team, that would have give us a better chance, but the plans are in place and the team has been chosen ....... Go Bokke :woohoo:
