The 5/1 England with sportingbet and 9/1 Australia are standout prices
PS Scotia paddy power is only going 75/1 Scotland... hes no daft

think that the reason why England and the Aussies prices are so generous is because they are in the same pool. Bookies feel that one of them could miss out as Wales look to be the other team to get out of the pool

England are as low as 7/2 with some bookies chook
Wales are drifting tonight out to 25/1 with pp think Leigh Halfpenny is missing the RWC

France have had a fair build up. They always perform well at World Cups. They are my 2nd favourites after the Aussies to lift the cup.

Some tickets are closer to £180 for some of the pool matches. Imagine how much you could sell a ticket for if England make it to the final.

Pat Lambie starts at flyhalf on Saturday!
Meyer using his brains for once and putting the form player in! Not sure about some of the other selections though
De Villiers I suppose has to start sometime but Kirshner before Le Roux at fullback??? :S

England 39 Fiji 9 in the opener for the pub draw
I have been checking all the early mismatches with points spreads
My take is that we won't see 100 nil as the big teams will not go full blast due to potential injury and save best players and the underdogs will play their hearts out for their country
This is just my theory but will be taking the minnows to win with points
Enjoy and good punting

I really hope the first game produces a big score to get the tournament off to a flyer and get the excitement going :woohoo:

Are the days of really big scores not a thing of the past? i remember when teams used to pitch up for this tournament hardly knowing the rules

Agree @Bob...the teams making up the numbers have become better at holding onto the ball and defending meaning that scoring is a bit more difficult than in the past...the centuries of the past are now 60's or 70's and that is a sign of progress...also see a lot more reversal of results in the 7's circuit which shows the progress being made...
They will not win but the smaller nations will keep the scoring down...
