Shaama we should be getting excited

There has not been many Redoubts choices run in South Africa ( 20 odd) but there has been some very high class animals..Musir is no doubt the best so far ,but Majmu and Wylie Hall are close on his heels. But i doubt many made the impression on Debut that Shaama made. She had the entire field of the bridle after 400m and could have won as far as she liked

i think we should get excited, we might just have another top top horse

Yep backing this one at any price later in the month, free money. Surely going to run in the SA nursery.

Bob, Charles Laird bought a Redout'es Choice Colt, I think its name was Nodoubt Deja. He paid like over $3million dollars for it. It was no superstar. Did it end up a stallion or it was even worth trying him at stud ?

No idea what happened to it but it looks like it got injured or had a problem as it had 18 months of after running poorly in its first race after the maidens

I am battling to work out the strategy employed by the Sheikh. Horses are bought in Australia and have to travel to South Africa and race for peanuts and if they are any good they get shipped to Dubai facing months in quarantine.

So why leave Australia in the first place ? If they show promise they can always be shipped in MDK in Dubai. What do I know...

The cost must be massive Harris?

I'm sure it's out of loyalty to MDK

I thought the same thing recently. You know what Harris? I dont think MDK will continue with the same strategy much longer. If I was a betting man .....

It's all relevant, the costs are pocket change and Bob is right about the loyalty. Much more important to the Sheik than costs i reckon.

But the hassle of it all, eish.

Shaama is also one of the three-to-follow's with Laff & the Good.

Harris you probably heard the stories that Hamdan was pissed off , there was rumours he threatened to pull out of SAF racing if MDK`S runners never got their runs in the cape during the season...

Problem is SAF needs him more than he needs SAF?
