the below par runs of power to please saint donan

I haven't seen the stipes report concerning the two runners power to please and saint donan but the pair who were heavily backed ran well well below par in fact they didn't even put up a fight when challenged...as a form student if you would have told me that both would run out the top 3 I would recommend you see a shrink..it took me back to the day that yard arm deepodds on for the july and its stablemate was deep odds on for the 2yo colts race on july day and both never fetched a place ..to this day im convinced that the woody runners were got at and if nothing untowards is found with todays runners then I will be convinced that both of them were got at...

tbh for me the surprise was Winter Trade in third
prefer looking elsewhere if dropping in trip as posted
you always had to allow a showing by the fourth horse on his juvenile form and then a place for the unraced

Pirates, what is the standard procedure with this situation.

From what I think is that if nobody complains, NOTHING will be done.

Do you as the Punter have any options ?

I think SAINT DONAN did not enjoy setting the pace as he'd run on on debut but let's wait and see

Regarding Saint Donan.
He was sent of 99/1 on both previous starts,it's trainer is certainly one I have never heard of
and the colt is an entire, why would anyone be mad enough to punt it at 11/10

pirates ,we both know where the info came from
so it was the weight of money from one mans view of the race to all and sundry, right now if he said he fancied a 66/1 shot for a race come saturday...it will start in single figures,so is his following

i want to ask u ,in hindsight that is...where they 11/10 shots in their respective races...was that price ever a fair reflection of their ability on paper....i think not

would u have made the same comment if the horse started 6/1 and 3/1 respectively,i also think not

so what do we have here...one mans perspective of the race and all his followers....and thats equivalent to the same thing as me fancying a horse and going for it ....

as a form studier ,i dont think u would have touched both those horses ,and i think this is where we falling short these days as well...just backing a horse only on hearsay and not really looking deeper into the race to see what the dangers and strength of the others runners are

look..it works sometimes and it doesnt at other times, but to say that they were "got"to,is baseless in these 2 horses cases...the yard arm saga that day was the bleakest day in all of racing, especially considerring the amount of money and hype there was for that runner

I think many people on here are missing my point and that is they clearly didn't run up to their form and if you put up their formlines off formgrids you will clearly see what im talking about ...they ran well below their ability that is my major concern ..

and for the record rg I took 6 to 1 the one in the first and the double with the one in the 4th at 20 to 1 and you can check my Hollywood account ..I don't listen to others in this game and it pays off plus I do my own betting the 6 to 1 and 5 to 2 on offer were big prices imo whether they won or lost ...

Excuse my ignorance, but who is this phantom guy who is so well respected that even if he tips a mug, ppl will back? I agree with rg..in the statement that ppl do bet blindly on tips.. and pirates i agree that these two well way below ability. Saint do was my pa banker.

Quite funny to see this thread, as i also got these 2 horses yesterday......If memort serves me correctly, Saint Donan ran to Act Of War....and that form is far superior to anything else in that race. Should at least have run a place, but we move on
