Craig you are missing the point(as stated by Loopy) I am sure everybody was grateful for your advice, but it was after the event and NOT the obvious place to get the info....................the betting site..............it is the betting that is affected!

That "going into hiding " attitude" certainly does not make things better for yourself or the industry or the punter Craig,
ultimately that attitude is irresponsible and will contribute to a dying industry...which we certainly witnessing as we speak
The "punter" needs someone to talk to...they are SCREAMING OUT of their skins for someone to listen to their needs...and ultimately your needs ( since you need a thriving industry to prosper) and unfortunately you are that someone now ( and the only one listening)
Going into hiding is what we seeing on a daily basis by everyone in the industry...you want to join them go ahead...but realise this...The punter is your friend since without them you (& the industry) will soon have nothing unfortunately
an iritated punter crying out for an industry to start caring for the needs of their investors

So....i have time on my hands, looking for something interesting...
Well....Me and my clients got on WS early morning as on form he stood out(to me atleast),havent been playing Vaal Sand lately so didnt see the jock change...but ive got a question...
Now,to me,as a punter and tipster i KNOW for a fact the tabonline website is bullshit! So i take it in my stride to gather my info abt racecard chances, track info from more realiable sites...now heres my question...
All those moaning ...is it that hard to go to Gallops.co.za or were ever??surely by now you ALL also know that those in charge are a bunch of idiots as you'll often point it out???Now,i also understand what ur point is and U ARE CORRECT in ur views....but surely...if i go buy by shop A, and it turns out to be old....next time ill move on to shop B...
Easy and simple guys!
Also, lets be honest(as some mentioned before) they dont give a shit abt the punter.Lets make things 'easier' for us...as IF u want to come up TOPS in this business, surely you will use ALL available resources????

Heinrich,
You missing the point as well...The average punter doesnot know where "all these available resources" are even...he knows Tabonline... The industry does not need the "tipster" good or crap, the industry needs the "average punter"

point noted, and True. But in our tote, punters 'go on' abt something like this for abt 10secs,afterwards back to the boards to look for winners!Most...really do not care that much, even alot on here...hulle is meer bek as enige iets anders and until that changes, the powers that be will NEVER see the light, coz they dont give a crap. But i totally agree with what you saying above yep

Remember we are in the digital age and far more people are online now (everyone I know under 30 has been online) so why the various platforms are not consistent is beyond reason. The future punter will bet online mostly so to ignore that because you have a dying breed in your outlets is financial suicide and will come back to haunt Phum. I have always thought that it is better to receive complaints rather than have customers NOT complain and rather take there custom elsewhere. In the past year I have been to several resturants where the food tasted awful - I did not bother to complain but rather used the good ones more so those people lost my business without knowing why. The reason I did not bother to complain is that I expect a restauranteur to taste his product . I have also stopped complaining to Phum because I DON"t use their product which is all the more reason that they should read ABC and try to win back clients rather than believe the ignorant in the totes will remain ignorant for eternity.

One cannot complain about the TRANSPARENCY in Horse Racing in this Country as there is absolutely NONE and this has been discussed on many threads on this site. Norwithstanding this I truely appreciate those TRAINERS that do comment on ABC and I use or do not use the Info supplied, keep it up dispite the uncalled abuse You get at times because I believe EVERYONE on this Site does heed ur comments.
We the Punters (CUSTOMERS) are in a no win situation as we do not have a VOICE that carries any weight. It is heard because I believe the Powers that be READ this SITE but untill this voice is incorporated into Management Punters will remain on a hiding to nothing. Maybe time to form a Punters Union and for us to ALL stand together to BOYCOTT Punting for a period or maybe have another on Course MASS DEMONSTRATION.
Transparency to me means PERTINENT INFO and NOT TIPS e.g. when vacs are done, suspected virus in Yard, etc, etc, NOT what the Trainer/Jockey thinks their chances are as then all we will get is 10 with chances in a 10 Horse field, that is BS not Transparency. This is info that I can use to make a MORE informed decision so it has to be well before the exoctics begin and not just before or even after the first Leg is run.
I really hoped that with the New & Improved TT the Transparency will improve but I am not surprised that this has NOT happened. To be fair some Presenters do ask winning Trainers/Jockeys abt the chances of their other runners but not their Well Being.

Does anyone know the volume taken in shops as opposed to over the internet etc and how much is generally wagered on any given SA race? I am interested to know where the majority of the betting income comes from.
