Louis is very expensive @ opening price of 8/10. My perceived value may now lie with Illitshe @ 8/1.

.....quite frankly if this horse wins the triple crown......the victory will be a hollow one......it will just highlight what a poor crop of 3yr olds we have campaigning up country.....may give the spin boys a chance of promoting the total underdog.....low sale price....1st foal.....patchy pedigree....any one can own a champion if they are lucky type of hype......and looking at what he is up against.... cannot fault him as the field is imo very weak......then he will be compared to a true champion in Horse Chestnut.....what a shame....:S

Can't fault the horse for the opposition presented nor the status of the races won...
Always good to see any athlete rise above expectations and achieve greatness so I hope Louis the King wins but have my doubts about distance...finished in a pile in Classic...top 3 within 0,6 lengths and field within 10 lengths...and that can be made up in additional 650m by horses that can stay...

too true
The same thing was said about Bold Ruler, who is present in this very blood-line. And he sired a big strong ginger who produced arguably the best 12 furlong performance a racetrack has ever seen. That ginger is also present in this very blood-line. His breeding may suggest a predisposition to shorter faster races but that's only going to make it so much more awesome on Saturday night.

I see only about 360 facebook likes on the whoislouis page yet 161 000 on the Miss South Africa page(Miss South Africa pageant is something that has waned in interest over the last few years but how bad is Racing when less than 500 people like the page of a potential TC winner) I say again that Racing Fans are dying due to old age and the techno savage youth care zip about it. Without a new younger market Racing is no more than a Dinosaur waiting to enter the realms of "crazy things our Grandparents did for fun"
