Does anyone think this will affect local pools on non-south African racing?

Dubai world cup will be on ATR and one of the normal Sky Sports channels as they have been doing for the last 3 meetings in Dubai.

In general I'm not a fan over overseas racing, but would still like to have been given the opportunity to watch something like Cheltenham and the Dubai Carnival; so what I can't understand is the utter lack of customer service (specifically in communicating these changes) from TT; I would have thought all subscribers would (firstly) have been given notice of the impending change and (secondly) been given the opportunity of purchasing the 'Dilog' decoder and subscribing to the service, should they so wish :S
And from P's point of view, I can't understand that they did not engage with TT to make sure that their customers are being given every opportunity to receive the overseas pictures - as this will surely affect the local pools (and therefor P's bottom line) on overseas racing - maybe I'm just not clever enough to make sense of this 'process'

Im lead to believe Mr Stuart that about 20% of local bookmakers horse racing turnover is on overseas racing.Since the tax generated from bookmakers in the 4 major provinces amounted to R102 million did you infact give the 20% of the tax to the overseas bookmakers i.e.SIS or GBI.You dont put on the show on those bets so i trust the money which is over 20 million was in fact sent over to the UK.The amount of R102 million from bookmakers is for the period ending 2013.

Why is it great news ?
Do you never take a bet on night racing at new market ? Or have a punt in the national or Royal ascot ?
Taking away the pics might mean less stakes

Finally!!!!! I hate it when we only get to see 5 min of local racing, because of international racing (especially missing local racing due to steeplchase and harness racing) Tellytrack should only focus on SA horses. Even when they run in Dubai, we should still have access to that on 239. X(

frodo has summed it up perfectly, nevertheless the show must go on i guess.

I can't see how a reduction in racing coverage can be beneficial to racing in general. I understand the irritation when they switch coverage from the local venue to broadcast a race from Ngong, but what about when there is no local racing, such as every morning, most nights, and most afternoons this past week?
What will we see in the mornings and evenings now? Endless replays, or repeats of that awful morning show whose name escapes me?
