Absolutely -history tells us we would have had pages of emphatic opinions from many who don't have an ounce of evidence to back them up!

What , however , may be interesting would be a "sticky"for the duration of the trial with posters opinions ,based on the daily evidence, of where the outcome seems to be headed

That would be like having a cyber jury of hundreds!!

True Rob, a very sad situation where nobody can win. I agree with Hibs enough is enough !

Have said it before we offer a FREE service to share views on racing and sport and don't mind general.

However it would appear that individuals feel they can just pour their hearts out with personel attacks and name dropping and leave us to receive calls and threats on their behalf

As Bob says we have legal systems in SA and go via your lawyers rather than using cheap shots via a 24/7 open forum

Think before you post or send a private email to the people you have a gripe with and do not use ABC

There are other places people can post if they want. This forum is mainly about racing, sport and a bit of personal stuff. People don't start threads on political or social justice forums with their opinions of who is going to win the July or what they think of the bookies.

Hibs, I'm with you re the betting on Pistorius' trial. Sick, sick, sick! I was just nauseated last night seeing the TV advertising - yes, advertising! - live coverage of the trial. On Channel 199. As if it was a game of tennis. Dear God, I knew dstv was a bottom feeder but this beats anything I've seen so far.

Morning Mave...... BUT I guarantee you yhat the viewership on that channel will be massive. Says plenty for the human psyche......{barfs into checkers packet}

The thread being deleted had nothing to do with the OP trial, there was something else posted which Dave and Bob had to take action over...

Both issues would have been a nightmare in many ways.
Insofar as the trial, if it is being broadcast live, it will have an impact on production levels in business cos as Madji says "it is the way"
I for one will follow it , but legal stuff is the only reality TV I can stomach-big brother ,survivor and all that rubbish , they can keep.

Reality TV has got so off the wall that you can even find a wife on some reality show, friggin unbelievable!!!!
