it doesnt matter who plays in this test, rsa will win.i dont think qdk is test match quality and he should not be picked to play.they should play abbot because with a 4 pronged pace attack the aussies will crumble because their batting is so weak and no need to pick a specialist spinner because our spinners cant even spin a ball.as for our capt he is crucial to our team because he has proven himself over time to contribute when the chips are down and he is a fighter.
we are blessed to have the best 2 batsman and bowlers in the world in our test team and in ab we have the best player on the planet atm.im hoping he makes it 13 matches where he scores 50 or more in an innings in a match and breaks the record which he is sharing with viv richards atm.in all honesty we are just too good for these aussies and we should beat them with ease at newlands.

If i were a selector i would not even have Robin Petersen in my squad. Not knocking the guy, but for me, he is not test match spinning material......nor 1 dayers or t20's for that matter
I would much rather be looking at that youngster at the Dolphins and that leggie which i think plays for Lions.......these are youngsters we need to nurture now...........
I wont be surprised if the selectors miss this again as they have many a time....

for one we dont have a match winning spinner so no need for a "recognised" spinner imo, duminy and elgar can be used to fill this role...

I find it incredible that we don't have a good spinner. We have had good spinners in the past like Kourie, Shaw, Symcox, Rundle. I suppose Alan Donald was the bowler that everybody looked up to so they all tried to bowl fast.

Omar Henry was a good spinner as well and he could also bat.

I remember the 1999 semi between SA and Aus
this looks like a 213 score as well as SA are 176/4 after 40

Do you have to remind us. The only time I have ever been in tears after a sporting event. :X
