Yes but most stips or stewards wear jockeys them self, they know how races are run ,some of them had names given to them by punters ,and not nice names as well.

Consider what you are left with if you remove the R from PRAWNS,
That is what punters are in this game, financing the lifestyles of the CLIQUE.

I totally agree with you 100% on the above ENGLISH, BUT they leaves traces in doing so every day...clear as daylight...

Those "in the know' are without doubt the biggest losers...
if you fancy a horse purely on form you will have a bet of say 100 bucks but if you fancy a horse on form and hear from the stable/jock/owner that the horse is working well and beating everything in work you will at the very least double your bet, now take into account how seldom Trainers,Jockeys and or Owners are right and do the maths...being privy to so called inside info is a very dangerous thing and 99% of those who are will eventually revert to backing on their own judgement when the penny drops and without exception they will be far more successful, being "in the know" is very very very overrated.

H... not certain I know what you mean but I want the opportunity to be in the know every race, to have all above board and then make my choice, that is the fun in what we do, its us against the riddle and we want to solve the riddle. We do not want it to be a riddle though full of unseen other riddles! lol
LL... could you spot these traces every day without your system? Just a question, not "armed" in any way lol You use your system in the UK and I doubt you'd last a month with the online bookies! lol
I am aware of trends etc which the likes of Rob F often refers to but I think many of us forget, the average punter does not have either the knowledge of racing or the time required to identify all these agendas, they have a punt based on honest data, the problem is there is too much "dishonest" data in SA mixed in with the honest. Where does the average working, family man get the time to study and identify all the rubbish? And people wonder why they are losing punters. Said it before and I'll say it a million times... if people want to save SA racing then make transparency a million times better, get the stipes involved a lot more questioning, reporting, fining/banning etc etc etc.

Titch, that is in the know in the purest sense, in the know can mean a million things... for example, we'll give him a couple of soft rides at the back and then get him e/w at 20/1... that is one example of being in the know. I would still like to know the trainer's thoughts though, over time you build a picture of that individual trainer and how well they know their horses. i don't want to name names but I'm going to lol... on what I can tell the Shams seems to know their horses pretty darn well, Greeff, good grief!!! lol
