Was hard to grow grass with no water or rain but now have both. Liked the comment from the "goat track" last week. Winning jockey said the course was very good. The best track.

To call people 1 eyed is ruff .
Craig ,surely the track is meant to be in good condition. Is that not what the staff are paid to do ??
In SA today if somebody answers a phone straight away and helps you sort out a problem , you fall off your chair .

gg, look at how many posters only come out the woodwork to slate racing/GC. They keep quiet when things are done well. If you see what I wrote to FH, before the last meetings, Greyville had no rain at all and no sprinkler system because of the construction. Now that we have got both the track is changing into the condition that the groundsman wanted. He did not want it to be the way it was ,I promise you but these factors did not help.

Pity the operators can't support your blind faith!
Perhaps it's the realistic view??.......

I am sitting at home waiting to see whether I should drive down. Just spoken to LLoyd and he says it is very wet and patchy. As you can see from the photo above it has obviously gone backwards. They have even employed a specialist from JHB who worked on their tracks to come down and help out so as not to have these problems. Extremely confused at the moment but something has gone really wrong as everyone including Jockeys who saw the course said it had improved so much!:S
