Not so sure about that Harry, you must remember that the big guns are looking for champions and the man in the street is looking for a bit fun and happy to pick up a horse that might win a couple of races plus a smaller centre maybe the option?

Harry you could use the same stats for any horse sales, you and I are well aware of the chances of buying a horse that wins a race is not favourable
However when it's in your blood, you have to keep trying, it's a better hobby than fishing

i cant see how its a wise idea to buy a mdk reject because its not as if a new trainer can improve a mdk horse.i know mdk improves on other trainers horses even the rejects from the aidan o brians horses, mdk improves lengths(archipenko, eagle mountain etc).imo not very wise to buy a mdk reject and try to improve the horses form.wat u see is most likely wat you will get with very little chance of improvement, unless you sending it to pe,kimberly or kzn off season.

Would you buy a horse from O'Brien? MDK has and has done woners - All depends on the horse and why it's being sold

I would add Vaal and Cape Town (off season) to that list.

I for one would love to attend and maybe purchase a horse from the mdk dispersal sale, its true you might not be getting the cream of the crop but you may pick up one or two very useful handicappers,i know a few horses from that sale who where not to bad namely top mark and a few years back mr premier who won 3 in a row,i think esteco was sold of that sale as well.
