Don't know much about it but scotias mate runs the site, if you guys want to register for the site use ref abc008...

Its basically a prediction league where you pay a monthly subscription and the top 3 or 4 share the prizemony..

How can this be legal? Surely this requires a pool betting license?

Licensed yes, but for this? I think it's grey, but happy to be wrong?

How is this different from running a pick six pool? Just a different rake/take out and points system but conceptually identical? Just me or others see it the same way?

I see it the same way but like you happy to be wrong. Wanted to get a similar concept (not the format but the concept of players putting in and the pool being split) going a few years ago but thought I would need a tote license so never pursued.

If it's above board it opens up possibilities for other licensed bookies I would think.

Interesting indeed, if this is legal the opportunity for bookies to take on the operators more directly is available. Consider bookies joining forces and hosting "tournaments" nationally.

How long has this been up and running? I would expect a legal response from the operators to this.

Hi Dave,

All good thanks, been a tough punting year but fighting back in the final quarter.

Yes very interesting topic and if bookie license covers that will be good news
