Pick 6 ringing the changes?

On the face of it ,it does not look like the coupling rule has been the direct culprit, but coincidentally, some amazing results setting up the "dream dividends" already.
Lets hope it's just the time of the year!

Watch the xcuses come thick n fast, like his MR was too high for a maiden winner etc.
PS. Ran stone last off a MR of 95 in the Cape today, deep in the red.:

TAB boss Vee Moodley said: “We’re delighted and we have had positive feedback from many customers. Early indications are that the change in the Pick 6 rules has generated a new energy into tote betting.
“We believed racing was lacking a dream bet. TAB’s soccer bets have created three millionaires and three multi-millionaires in the last 12 months, as well as paying out R500,000 and more to 101 individual winners. Racing lacked those dream payouts, but now I believe we have a bet that can deliver them. I can’t wait to hand over a cheque for R3 million or R5 million to a TAB Pick 6 winner.”
Moodley rejected the notion that not applying couplings favoured “big” players. “The Pick 6 bet with no couplings presents a tougher challenge to small and big players alike. And smaller spenders can utilise fractional betting to level the playing field with big spenders.
“There are different mentalities when playing Pick 6s - those who want to win the full payout and fractional bettors. And the odds often favour the punter who takes a fractional bet because he likely to have more horses in each leg,” Moodley added.

They just can't seem to grasp that with the couplings in force, I could take a R25 perm for 1% giving me realistic :
chance - with no couplings (especially today) I would need to take a R250 perm to achieve the same chance.
Anyway seems like I'm in the minority (nothing new there) looking at today's pool :

If Racing is missing the dream payout, why can't we have the full carryover going to just one meeting on the weekend instead of splitting it into two. :S

Might have something to do with the split, 60/ 40 to P and GC respectively and vice versa?

I think it is if there is anything over R500,000 goes to the Sunday meeting. Anything over R1 million is then split 50/50 over the 2 meetings. Just a way for the greedy to cash in twice instead of giving the punter one big pool to hit.

I noticed Cohen kept waxing lyrical about what he read on this topic in the studio today.

One of the same......a spin merchant. Phumelela are bound to get their moneys worth cause this guy is so convincing ......sounds like he is selling a dream......yet only the operator benefits from making the bet harder to win.......massive carry overs will generate more interest from punters.......while the money is not paid out.....it earns more interest for the operator.......win win situation......thanx Vee you doing a gr8 job.......your marketing and ideas are legend boet......(tu)

can anyone with a financial background tell me how much interest a carryover pool of a million can possibly make in a week? I really don't believe it could be that much
