Yellow Sam,
Im glad for Nani but find it unfair to say he should be in the team before Young and Valencia. If one is honest Nani also has his "shockers" where he can't even get a pass right. But rightly so he is also brilliant at times and can single handily destroy teams on his own but has had a terrible time of late with injuries.
Young has had a terrible time in his first two season with injuries so he has been unable to show his true potential. One has to think back to the first game of the 2011/2012 season whereby he was immense and played an intergral part in the destruction of Arsenal that day. Hopefully his injuries are behind him and he will com along this season, as I thought although a bit overeight he offered us something different when he came on against Chelsea the other night.
Valencia is a tricky one, last season was a terrible one for him whereby he was extremely low on confidence. In saying that when he played last year as a right wing back and for periods of the game against Chelsea the other night I thought he was pretty decent. I would prefer to see him in that role of a wing back as he is extremely strong, quick and good in the air so will offer a different option with him in the team as a full back.
Although the transfer window did not go as planned for us and deals did not materialise I am still of the opinion that once we settle as per usual we will be difficult to beat as we will begin to grind out the results. I am also under no illusions that the squad make up is complete and am quite sure Moyes is going to be a busy man in the January transfer window with the aquisition of at least 1 more midfielder as well as a left back to keep Evra on his toes.
It is a well know fact that we are perrenial slow starters and if one has to look at the stats for the past 7 seaons, we have accumalated an avaerage of 12 points from the our first 6 games!
Of those 7 seasons we have won the league 5 times and finished runner up twice, once to Chelsea by 1 point and then to City on goal difference. After 3 games of the season gone we are currently on 4 points and with Crystal Palalce (H), City (A) and West Ham (H) to come I am confident of at least 7 points which would leave us on 11 points or all going well 9 points which would leave us on 13 points.
Taking the past few season into consideration we are no worse off than when we won the league or finished runners up, therefore I find it comical that we have been written off due to us going through a transition period.
Coupled with the fact that we have an extremely "easy" run in with us only having to play City and Liverpool and both at Old Trafford in our final 11 games it would be foolish to write us off!
I feel a line up comprised of the following is going to give a number of teams sleepless nights:
De Gea
Rafael/Valencia Vidic Rio/Jones Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Nani/Zaha Rooney Kagawa/Young
RVP/Chicorito
Currently Hollywood is offering us as 4/1 to win the league which I feel is brilliant. I will definitely be helping myself to some of that!!!!!!

Super red,
I agree that Nani is also not consistent but i feel he gets Judged too harshly since we has the fans see on his day how good he actually is so its almost like we cant except when he plays shit. i would like for you to notice how many quality crosses are put into the box from our wingers ( Regardless who it is ). the reason i say this is because i believe that defenders have caught up with Valencia and sometimes he doesn't know what to do and passes the ball back. Take away Valencia pace and does he add much value to the United Team ? i wouldn't think so.
Chelsea have Hazard and Arsenal have Santi Cazorla, Man City have many quality players
Who would you say is our main winger ? that we know will provide many assists and score Goals

Yellow Sam,
In my opinion the days of having out and out wingers in modern football are over. The rigid use of the 4-4-2 formation is over and most teams are now utilising the 4-2-3-1 formation, whereby the players who play in the role behind the center forward have the ability to interchange and play anywhere along that line.
This is the role where I believe both Cazola and Hazard fit in whereby they have the skill and technical ability to play in this role. Barca have Neymar, Fabregas, Iniesta, Real have Ronaldo, Isco, Bale, Bayern have Robben, Muller, Ribery.
There are exceptions to the rule I suppose whereby there are wingers used by the big clubs, players like Navas and Walcott.
In the case of Navas if you look at the game he has had it would show that he has ben subbed in all of City's 3 games this season as I believer the coach had to bring on a more flexible player like Nasri to operate in that role behind the forward. Walcott has the ability to play as the lone forward and he to has interchanged with Giroud and Padolski in the first couple of games.
Nani has the ability to play in this role of the 3 positions mentioned as well as an extra bonus of being able to fill in as a main striker. Young when he was at Villa played in this role so is comfortable on either side or down the middle.
Valencia unfortuanately has not got the technical ability or skill to fill this role of the floating attacker and I agree with you when you say that the defenders have worked him out.
I personally would love to see Valencia tried out as a holding midfielder with Carrick or Fellani as I feel he is extremely strong, quick and good in the air.
If we were forced to play a team where the tactics required the use of the standard 4-4-2 formation, I would go with Zaha or Nani as the right winger and Young or Nani as the left winger and I believe that either selection would do the job.

Zaha had a brilliant game for the under 21.
He should be in the lineup for the next game.
