Wenger had a great team of second string youngsters who regularly knocked out premier league teams from the league cup a few seasons back.
His failure to integrate more of them into the first team is his downfall.

Probably me being a supporter, and we all can't be as good as Man Utd.

Mr E...I was wondering if your sentiments regarding Arsen would be the same if he was coaching Man U? i'll take evens ''NOT!
I too however hope he stays on for ever, coz if he leaves then the worst coach in the EPL would be domiciled at my beloved Stamford Bridge

Liverpool through to the next round of the Europa League. I know for the Man U supporters it means nothing but for us lowly Pool fans it is a big deal.

Titch, I can't say either way really. I can only say what I see and to me Arsenal's "difficulties" started with the building of the new stadium and the influx of money into other clubs which makes life in the transfer market that much more difficult for them. Part of the thing here which people sometimes seem to forget, is that no team has a divine right to be at the top or stay there. History has shown that many teams over the test of time slip down the ladder. Why should Arsenal be different when circumstances create difficult times? Let us also not forget also that Wenger has built some great teams at Arsenal in his time there and they were not going anywhere really before he took over. Any team that could challenge and oft beat some of the great United teams over the last 20 years can't have had too bad a manager, surely? Could anyone do a better job there now given the circumstances?
Shrek... no comment, just a little shake of the head (

what about getting clearance, from the board, to match wages for their best players. As a United fan, without Van Persie, we would be in mid-table and the only reason he came was to be in major contention to win something. The problem with Arsenals youngsters, bar Fabregas and Wiltshere, is their Agents brainwash them to believe they are better than they actually are.
Blaming someone who made the club noticeable again is an easy solution
