MrTobin What a pleasure

9 wins from 10 sand outings in less than a year.
What a pleasure must be to on a horse that can deliver so much in such a short time.

He is an odd sort of horse -- he really needed some stoking up yesterday in the early part of the race

Just hope he can get his mind on the job for the Emerald Cup as I have a nice double running.

Will some one please tell Socrates that the Vaal is not a viable asset for Phumelela disposal. Unless they get enough money from the sale to fully develop Ranjiesfontein or other venue to accomodate the Vaal trainers and host the all the meetings that the Vaal have. Turffontien can only be upgraded with a synthetic or dirt surface to accomodate additional racing. They have no way of accomodating trainers though, unless they purchase LaRocelle and maybe Wemmer Pan too, but this requires huge capital which they do not have.
Unless they find a cash rich partner.

the sand is a joke..it will be even more of a joke when the synthetic tracks are installed..so what if a handful of horses enjoy it..racing was fine before the sand it will be fine after..those sand horses must then perform on the all weather tracks or retire..its not a big issue

you can t make decisions on racetracks because some horses run better on one surface than the other
