maclaine a fairly reliable line horse so Phenomenal after today atleast 95 (which is probably still low)...extra zing has to be a 83 for another run or 2 because todays run was clearly not a meretorius effort..beaten 11 lengths..but i wouldnt say 83 is high after her maiden win..2nd and 4th horses followed up

I just raised my opinion. Even Zaki & the owner in the interview said that the horse was treated harsh. Are the handicappers always right? My humble opinion is that it is possible that they sometimes rate a horse to high and that is just about the end of the road for the horse. Nothing personal. I take your point and apologise if I judged or belittled anybody.

ou ryperd the handicapper is not always right..thats impossible..but i find it amusing that people have a go at the handicappers and say a horse is rated too high and then wins a handicap..how could it be too high if it carried the weight and won?? the handicappers should be commended in making a big call like that it is not easy as you know everyone will be lambasting their decision,then they proven right and they still get lambasted

Justin... as I said I'm clueless, quite happy to have helped formulate something of a debate which I find a little interesting, it is all about opinions but in truth a horse can be given an MR of one million and another 10 but if the criteria I use says the one with an MR of 10 wins, thats what I back, iss why I claim to be such an idiot! Sounds stupid but has worked for me. As I have said repeatedly, I use a less is more approach to my bets in SA (and the only place I do bet pretty much).
