the more the merrier, took 13/1 either team to 4 goals for an interest. I hate betting under 2.5 goals. enjoy.

CnC, quite honestly I don't care what you think about my knowledge etc because you simply don't know. Telling me what i know is so like you, thinking you know me better than I know myself! :S
I don't use knowledge of horses to formulate my horse selections CnC, I found a way of reading an online form guide which worked for me. That simple. It has not been working well though for a while now, though today I did have some success. I know nothing about horses and have never claimed that I do. Its why I 99% only bet on SA racing. I am clueless in the UK.
Unlike you, I will always answer a question as best I can with an honest view and take whatever flack comes. Very happy to be blinded by the England cricket team considering I just won nicely backing them when all others here seemed to be saying they would lose easily. I also insisted SA would win in Oz when many were doubting them and won nicely on them too. But, hey, what do I know about cricket, its all luck...
RVP wasn't killed CnC, you listen to Fergie too much lol

How many other managers would have been sent to the stands if they had behaved the way Fergie did.
He was way over the top with he's berating of the officials.
I can't see where the ref got it wrong.Newcastles 2nd goal was the right call.

Ah Dave, thought you'd be throwing in your 2-pence wind up ;)
Shall ignore the first part of course... the second is to me the interesting question and I confess (showing, yet again ;) , my complete lack of football knowledge) I have no idea if it was right or wrong. I don't know the letter of the law any more concerning when someone is considered to be interfering with play from an offside position. I thought that rule still existed and if so, I can't see any way that it can be said Cisse was not offside. The ball is going to him four yards from goal and Evans, as any pro should, must play to the whistle, he can't assume Cisse is going to be given offside and thus tries to make the interception. I never saw the, Fergie alleged :) , shirt tug or whatever. However, the commentators (and I assume the ref) seemed to think by the letter of the law the goal should stand as Cisse never touched it. If that is the case then obviously the goal should stand. If it is correct though then personally, I think the rule should be changed, Evans did nothing wrong (except execute badly (:P) ) and did what he had to do as a defender but, by doing so, it cost his team. If he had left it alone then Cisse would have been given offside. His side are therefore punished simply because they are playing to the whistle, surely that can't be right?

I'm not trying to wind you up Engles,no need CNC has already done that.Your defending Fergie again, tut tut.
He is not always right,he even got it wrong with the shirt pulling.Evans was guilty of that in that talking point.
I'm just stating what is in front of my eyes,I thought the goal was ok and that Ferguson got away with a lot
that other managers wouldn't have because its Ferguson.
It was terrible the way he ranted at both the ref and assistants.

DTF... this is what amazes me... if you stop thinking what I believe and just go on my words you would know I often disagree with Fergie and what he says/does :) I am certainly not defending him. In fact I agree, he definitely shouldn't rant like that. It looks bad if nothing else. But!!! there is no evidence to suggest he should be reported, no official looked particularly concerned by his ranting and thus I truly doubt there was anything bad in what he said. As per my earlier comment, the linesman only had to raise his flag. And no, I really don't think, on what I saw, any other manager would have been sent off, reported or the like. I honestly think talk like that is nonsense, he's been brought before the FA etc plenty times. I agree he shouldn't do it, I disagree that further action, on the evidence, is required.

The Evans shirt tugging was not really relevant to me. I never saw it as I said. Goal was my immediate reaction too but on seeing it again, I just don't understand how it can be given IF interference is still part of the law.

CnC wind me up, lol, even you might get closer. I have no problem with him, he just, IMO, ruins a lot of potentially decent threats with the monotony of his anti Man U campaign... and it does get boring, same as me trying to show the error of his ways must get boring lol (well it bores me so it must bore others!!!) And he rarely answers questions or offers any real proof to back up his wild speculations, theories and the like. And worryingly, you get more like him every day lmao ;)

Fergusons behaviour was totally unacceptable. Lets hope the FA throw the book at him but I wont be holding my breath as he gets away with so much compared to other managers. Englander if you think that I spoil threads with my anti Man U rants I have a simple solution for you. Dont read them and then you wont have to reply to them as you do. As I said you are so easy to wind up.

CnC, good morning :) You may think what you like but I am telling you, you have never wound me up. Annoyed me, yes. Big difference. As I said yesterday, if that gives you enjoyment, so be it :S I have a better solution for the scenario, as I like to read the football threads and see what others have to say, so start a new thread... call it "The Scoop CnC Anti-Man U Thread" and you can do all your ranting and raving in one place so that every football thread does not end up the same (tu) I might even pop in for a laugh myself >:D< And you can maybe start it by listing all the things that Fergie has got away with that other manager's don't, I'm sure so many other clanners would love to read them B)-
