EPL 2012/13

If we thought that last season was great then just hold onto your hats because this season is going to be even better. I say this because the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Newcastle will be pushing the likes of Chelsea, Man United and the Champions Man City all the way to the wire.

With newly promoted clubs Reading, Southampton and West Ham all wanting to play football along with Fulham, Norwich, Swansea and Spurs we are sure to see heaps of goals this season. QPR will do much better than last season as they have aquired a few good players and have sort of good rid of their much maligned captain. If Wigan can start as they finished last season then they wont have any hassles avoiding the drop. The likes of Villa, Sunderland, and WBA could have a fight on their hands this season as they have basically the same squads.Stoke City will once again hang in because of their home form.

The top 4 should be Man City, Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal with Liverpool finishing 5th. Bottom 3 is a difficult call but sticking my neck out I would have to say Swansea (2nd season syndrome) WHU if their home form is a poor as it was last season and Sunderland.

Surprise team of the season ie finishing in the top 8. Reading. Top goalscorer Torres of Chelsea, Cisse of Newcastle and depending where he plays Van Persie.

All kicks off Saturday 18th August

Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Hope the Geordies have another good season and Cisse can score some more magic goals, get the feeling it will be another Manchester dual at the death.

Robin Van Persie has failed his medical at Man Utd. A back problem caused by carrying Arsenal for the last 4 years.

Now that RVP has gone to United you can back Torres to be the leading goalscorer as Rooney takes the penalties and most free kicks outside of the box. RVP will get 15 if he is lucky this season.

Opening fixtures

Arsenal v Sunderland. Arsenal will hammer them with Podolski scoring. Sunderland are going to struggle this season away from home

Fulham v Norwich

Tough match with a draw looking the likely result. Fulham have lost their tailsman Danny Murphy and that Russian striker who has left for Reading. Norwich have a new manager.

QPR v Swansea

Cant see other than a QPR win as they have strengthend their side whereas Swansea have sold a couple of their best players and their manager has decided to join Liverpool of all teams.

Reading v Stoke

Reading to get a win against the hoofers from the Potteries.

WBA v Liverpool

The ex Liverpool assistant coach comes up against his old side in his firts competitive match for WBA. A Liverpool win looks the bet but I am going for a draw.

WHU v A Villa

WHU home form in the Championship last season was poor but I suspect that they will beat Villa.

Newcastle v Spurs

Think Newcastle can win this by the odd goal

On Sunday

Wigan v Chelsea

Chelsea to win just

Man City v Southampton

Mancity to win by 4

Monday

Everton v Man United

United always do well at Goodison and Everton always start slow so a win for United with RVP not scoring.

You cannot blame him as his pay has risen from £80k a week to £200k a week. The taxman will be happy.
