Hi guys i have decided to do a preview for this meeting after looking through the card i quite like it so here goes

PA 1,2 x 1,4,5,12 x 2,4,8 x 2 x 1,3,5 x 7,11,12 x 1,11 R432

JP 2,3,4,6,7,8 x 2,4,12 x 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9 x 1,2,7,9,10,11,12 R1008

Best Bets

Race 2 (2) Cerise Silk 5-2 (She handled the sand very well first time out over shorter. BIG RUNNER this distance)

Race 5 (2) Dual Alliance 7-2 (this runner lost ground last start and still won unextended over a distance too short. 1450M much better now only got a 5 pound penalty for that win. Strydom again rides and will take a power of beating. GREAT PRICE!!!!!!!!!!

Value Bets

Race 3 (12) Pavlova 10-1 (I like this filly alot she ran against male rivals last time and ran a cracker 2.25 off them. She is better drawn today and against her own sex here. Kalaam last sand run was dissapointing so is a question mark on this surface and others are drawn wide. BIG RUNNER!!!!!!!!! 2-1 on offer for a place what a steal

Race 4 (8) Fort William 10-1 (another one that i like as his last run was on the turf. He is much better on the sand and his two runs after a maiden have been good. Carrying a light mass could be a surprise packet in this field as Beacon Flare is untried on sand as well as Rabadash who failed 3 times on the sand. Mabuko Spirit is the favorite and has good form on the sand but has a BIG mass to carry. Speed Keeper is the only danger to fort william as he comes back to the sand. I like that the blinkers get back on my selection and will be running fresh from a rest of ten weeks

Race 6 (3) Zebulon 5-1 (another horse i like strong. He ran a cracker last run and got a 6 pound penalty for a good win and is still 5.5kgs better off than the favourite(formation) on their last run 5 april 2012 over 2000M. This 1800M will suit my selection even better and has a good in form jockey Grant van Niekerk who rides well for the stable. BIG RUNNER!!!!!!!!!

Race 7 (11) Ushkadel 14-1 (i like the price of this horse and improved with blinkers albeit on the turf. He hasnt got good form on the sand (8runs 4plcs) but i think he is coming back to form and has been dropping in the merit ratings. The stable has been doing well of late and been winning with long shots lately. A nice 3-1 PLACE bet for this horse

Race 8 (1) Jolly Rhubino 5-1 (This horse was drawn in the bush last time out and came very wide into the straight and faded right out. His penultimate run was over 1000M which he improved and is back over the same distance and is fitted with the scoops for the first time. He has the favourite to beat (Mr Alfonso) but if he fluffs his lines jolly will be there picking up the pieces.

GOOD RACING

My value bet today is Fort Lodge in R6. C/D winner from an in-form stable and Marco retains the ride. He had the better of Vettel 2 runs back (turf) and with a light mass of 52.5kg could be a big runner today.

Morning Clanners. My only bet of the day, Alamein, race 7, Delpech up. Better off at the weights than American Gangster on their last run, better draw as well today. Have a profitable day guys. cheers.

Tabonline news

“We plan to leave at around 4am on Thursday morning and drive straight through to the Vaal,” said Eudey yesterday. “This is the first time I’ve saddled runners at the course so it should be interesting.
“Both of my horses work very well on the sand back home so I am hoping for decent performances.”

All the best Craig....Have a couple of Red Bulls (tu)
