Feature Races - Media Coverage
13 years 4 weeks ago
Tomorrow we have the running of the Dahlia Plate (Listed) in PE.Yet, not a single mention in media - not Sportingpost, not Saftote nowhere...Do we want to create awareness among punters tomorrow the day of the race? Our media is useless - absolutely useless....But we cannot wait to publish the garbage on the sand today.....And we are quick to blame the operators for everything that is wrong in racing!

what media must report, most newspapers do not even carry racing news and for those who do shouldn't P be issuing press releases about these events and thereby help creating awareness.
the problem lies with P and their department who is supposed to make sure that all events are covered in the various media's.

James Blond - yes, I was wrong to clear the operators! For sure they also have a duty to promote these events and this one falls in Phum's lap!

Haven't looked at cards past today and had no idea there was a feature tomorrow. (td)

Well Singapore gets preference in Sportingpost - does any Clan members bet in their dozens on Singapore by any chance?

Well Shrek if it was in the media (in your face I mean) you would probably known about the Feature tomorrow - shows my point....

And most punters (like the Clan members) would have taken interest and maybe had a rand or two on already....Sorry for carrying on but the way it is done oversees (I can talk about France - even the smallest Feature is big news!) is far more proffessional than here. Time for all the catch a wake up call. We are so keen to publish the negative only.....
