For once we have some good news.
Today Larry Wainstein, Clyde Basel and Alfie Little were on course to speak to owners and trainers personally. The good news is that the funds have been fully approved for the go ahead of the Polytrack. Work will begin in May.Phumelela have also approved a large amount for the upgrade of the Fairview grandstand and facilities.
Good news for PE racing !!

Indeed Sham Racing - good news. PE is no longer a dumping ground and has some serious horses around these days.

If poly is a consistent surface and does not cause stress on horses then I think all tracks should go poly. Especially when we read about Vaal racecourse debacle and I am sure many we don't know of...
Turf seems yesteryear and sand... Well ... Watching ponies galloping down the flamingo track makes me keep my wallet warm
And safe in my pocket,

It is great news for PE but the best facilities in the world will not get you punters Titch(neither will added stakes) - You need marketing and customer service- Did the team say anything about a new commentator? I have a friend that has never punted PE again after he lost a bert there when the result was called incorrectly - It's like buying a brand new car and letting a 90 year old drive it for you - Let Dumpy tip horses with Gavin and get a new Race caller - Your customers deserve better (or do they?)

Blaming the commentator for a losing bet is a bit childish, I'd say. Whatever his faults may or may not be, he can't change the result!
