i think its a mistake to take his horses to jhb,but hey it should be easy pickings up there.jhb doesnt hv the best horses at the moment so snaith should clean up in there feature races.

I hope they don't live to regret it. Dancer's Daughter went awry in Jhb, Top Seller has disappeared since the last Gauteng season, and English Garden has gone backwards (admittedly not before a good KZN campaign). Still, it will be good to see a top 3yo from the Cape again racing in Joburg.

If it stays sound ! There are many good horses who have moved from the Cape there and never been the same again.

I'm with you Winzip....maybe good for Gauteng racing but he wouldn't be going there if he was mine!

Oh, and wther it was coincidence or not What A Winter went backwards in the Durban season and needed half a year to get over it. I agree with Rob, I'd be very hesitant to follow this route if the horse belonged to me, although I understand that the Gauteng stakes are enormous and the opposition this year in the 3yo races may not be overly strong (although Slumdog Millionaire could be absolutely anything).

At last another owner and Cape trainer with vision.... last year Bass did it too.... and I think that this will be prepped on polytrack rather than at the Vaal....what is the use of waiting for the KZN season when plenty prizes are still up for grabs here....(tu)
