Hi guys
After a few months on the sidelines I am back posting again.
For this autumn Gauteng season, let's not forget Sean Tarry who has a few very good 3 year olds as well, but based on how the Cape seaon turned out, Silver Flyer should be almost unbeatable imo...

I'm suprised that Magic's comment went seemingly unnoticed!
Slumdog is a serious tripple crown prospect.

how can anyone say whether the Cape horses are better than the Gauteng horses...silver flyer has beaten all the Cape 3 year old horses bar VC...what about Merhee (Musir's brother) remember he was the favourate for the Dingaans...he could improve alot over ground

And the best Cape 3yo of the lot is waiting for the Durban season...(
However, let's not get all defensive over provincial issues. Maybe this year the Cape 3yos are stronger (heaven knows they have buying power deluxe, even if the numbers are smaller), maybe next year it will be different. Clearly, Gimmethegreenlight was way below best in the Guineas, as every one of his other runs against Variety Club (and in the Met) surely proves beyond doubt. Frankly, I make him a several pounds better miler than Silver Flyer at this stage, but it's another story whether he will show it in Joburg and Silver Flyer is quite capable of improving when he goes beyond the mile.
Let's hope for some good racing, and let's not worry too much about where the winner's trainer lives.

I like slumdog/GGTGL/Silver Flyer...
But something at the back of my head keeps saying Potala Palace..Potala Palace...Potala Palace..
Heaven knows why...He has been very disappointing, but something in me is willing to give the Azzman and Potala Palace another chance.....hopefully with STRIKER UP>

Respect Potala Palace when he encounters soft ground. He's proven it several times already, and as I've already said it is apparently a common trait amongst the Singspiel progeny. In Europe he'd been an "autumn" horse. (In a normal autumn, not the Saharan scorcher they had last year.

GMTGL a way better prospect imo , only time he met silver flyer he lost lengths at the stary. Potala palace may need to fitted with rollerblades to have any chance in the upcoming features.

Ag you know the Capies - just because they have a mountain, they think everything is better down there - been quite a few years since the Stormers / Province has won anyhting, but all of them are Springboks

On a more serious note - the Cape 3 yr olds had all the hype - but only the KZN season will hopefully separate the champs from the wanna-be-champs
Sh*t - Magic beat me to it again
