Wonder what price Igugu will be for the Paddock Stakes?? Perhaps 2/10? She has pummelled the same horses over and over. Perhaps 6/10 will be worth taking another bond.........lol

No matter how long you study this, you forever doomed to re-learn stuff.
While London News couldn't win a race his first few starts, from a mile he started winning. The Flobayou had to go flat out to beat London news in the merchants over 1200m a year later.
Igugu couldn't get to Ebony Flyer over a mile and was unbeatable over anything further. Just wait till we go further thay said.
Then Igugu runs the highest rating of her career in a mile a year later.

Jack I am sure we all read the build up to the July re Igugu and the bottom line was "is she something special" and the answer is yes, she should easily win the Paddock and then go on to win the Met baring any set backs IMVHO

Scotia - are you sure about Ebony Flyer? I ask only because she is UNLIKELY to be odds on! I have also spotted a number of male horses in the race which could easily blow her brains out.
Having said all of that my major concern is the following : I am not sure that I have ever seen this filly in a real fight. And that is what I believe she faces in the Queen's Plate. With the possibility of a south easter, 1600 being the probable limit of her stamina and some mighty talented horses trying to dethrone her I don't know whether I would be prepared to put my money down at the kind of cramped price she could well be offered at.

I cannot understand why they would want to run What a Winter in the Plate :S ... I know he is racing at the top of his game, but 1600m's in this class ?? I would not take 10/1 about him. {dons all cover suit to stop all the egg that may well be dropping on my face}

Mike Bass did say in his interview that he would only run WAW from a good draw.
