Nicci Garner and Tabonline

Nicci Garner and Tabonline.co.za continue to cover themselves in glory, as they have successfully avoided having to give Team Valor or Barry Irwin any coverage for the umpteenth time for winning races.

In her pre-race advance for last Friday's Listed Racing Association Stakes at Fairview, Nicci Garner mentioned the horses in the race, yet neglected to write a word about Changingoftheguard, who was the ante post favorite for the event. There was a lengthy story about the race.

Yet, since the race has been run and won by Team Valor, nary a word has appeared by Nicci Garner on Tabonline about the race itself.

I am beginning to have serious doubts that the race actually took place!

Does anybody know to whom Mrs. Garner reports, other than her husband, so that I might contact them and point out this situation?

I have left messages on the phone and e-mail for the head of the Racing Association, which had reps on hand at Fairview. No return call yet. Nothing on their website either.

Despite the personalities involved and even if it was A.N. Other's horse, one has to wonder how such inaccurate/incomplete reporting could be tolerated?

The racing corps here are controlled by the big machine Barry, you know this. If you swim upstream against them they will do everything in their power to exclude you, just ask the boys at the Sportingpost....they know.

Very unprofessional and bad reporting if you ask me!

The only advice I can give is to win more listed/graded races and rub it all up and down their faces

A shame really, due to this forum I have become aware of Barry and Team Valor, I certainly think his runners deserve a mention especially if they are contenders. C'mon Nicci, pull up your socks, you can do better than that.

Barry,why not hire a brass band to play at every meeting that Team Valour has a runner and if the result is favourable,an advertorial in the press.
No wonder Yanks are so not popular,globally.Only an American would believe they have the right to demand attention.
We best be careful........they have invaded for less.

I agree with UD, whether you a local or international owner , if you have a horse thats in a race that has teh potential of winning how the hell can you miss it out in your preview, Barry is not looking for attention IMO but just trying to get a point out to the journalist who has prepared a "piss poor" article.


what if any of the forum members had a horse in a mini feature race that was not featured in a article and say 7 of the 8 where mentioned and yours not, how with you guys feel???

The horse in question,Changingoftheguard,was out at the weights and,as tipping is not an exact science,it is surely forgivable to "brass" a horse that is percieved to be badly handicapped .....even if it's Barrys!
