Scotia on the last two games
14 years 11 months agoGood morning all and I must say its been a fantastic World Cup for all concerned.
The organisers and SA public in general must take a bow and we still have 2 games left, I have given up on predictions but a certain octopus would appear to be in hot form?..........Paul the Octopus
We have been invited to a game lodge for the last weekend and after that a few days in rehab might be the answer before the "July" in August.........July
Our World Cup competition was good fun and well done to Warrior Bold and Zesto we will do something for the Durban July/August (any sponsors wishing to come on board for a nice prize for the punters give us a shout) you must have a few bob after the World Cup results? wink wink say no more.
As far as the Tour De France, Contador looks the business but that man Armstrong is some athlete and on that subject I see plenty drama still surrounding poor Caster Semenyas details. I did read in one report that she would be prepared to give her left testicle to have a pair of tits like Pamela Anderson, anyway I am sure at times she does not know if she is coming or going?
Date with Destiny
Don't forget that Date With Destiny (the only off spring of George Washington) runs at Newbury in the first on Friday night, never thought that George would be a "Jaffa"?
On the racing front we are having some great racing from Newmarket this week and I see Memory has been priced up 8/1 for next years 1000 gns.
Also have the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes to look forward to on the 24th July at Ascot and with the booking of Ryan Moore for the even money shot we can have a good punt on the Derby winner Workforce.
At York this Saturday is the John Smiths Cup then we have the York Ebor meeting from the 17th to the 20th of August to look forward to.
The ARC still on my bucket list but not this year and the clash between Workforce and Fame and Glory should be worth the trip if you have a few Francs and not to forget the Melbourne Cup on the 2nd of Nov, sorry I am dreaming again a few weeks racing in Gauteng at this time of year can break ones heart.
Va Va Voom
On the local front good racing on Sunday from Clairwood where the Pinnacle Stakes has De Kock, Bass, Tarry and Laird crossing swords and the Kwazulu-Natal Breeders where we can hope for a bit Va Va Voom.
Must rush and remember "you are a short time living and a long time dead" as my Granny said to me on her death bed.
Have a great weekend and may your God be with you.
Good punting and on the subject of punting my weekend treble will be Va Va Voom, Germany and Holland

Porn star Bobbi Eden appears to have outdone her competitors. The Dutch erotic actress wrote on Twitter that she "will give a BJ to all my followers" if the Netherlands wins the soccer tournament this weekend, the Huffington Post reports.
Eden is not the first woman to make an erotic oath during the 2010 World Cup. Gorgeous lingerie model Larissa Riquelme promised to run naked through the streets of Paraguay if her team won the tournament. When the Paraguayans were eliminated in the quarterfinals, it seemed that the South American beauty's vow would not be realised. However, Riquelme has decided to run nude after all, as a "present" to Paraguay's soccer players.
