As I have stated before, I don't believe in answering questions like that in forums, you have my email address (it is under who are you thread) and I will be happy to communicate with you there.

The decision not to price up 'ourselves' was taken a while ago and was purely a business decision. HW have tried it and found that unfortunately there was no market for it.

Happy Punting

To me, Tropical Empire is the horse to beat in the Drill Hall.

Tropical Empire defending Betting World 1900 champion

pic Gold/Circle

The Australian-bred entire Tropical Empire is primed and ready to fire in the R350 000 Drill Hall Stakes (Gr 2) to be run over 1400m at Greyville Racecourse this Friday evening.

Speaking after the seven-year-old had put up a pleasing blow-out on the light sand track at the Ashburton training centre near Pietermaritzburg last Saturday morning, Grade 1 winning KwaZulu-Natal trainer Duncan Howells said that his charge had been specifically prepared for this race.

“He’s at his best over this course and distance,” Howells said. “I think most of the biggest dangers are using this race as a preparation run for the season so we do have high hopes.”

“He nearly broke the course record under 63kg last time he ran and the record is held by Eldoriza who I think carried about 52kg.”

“Last season we used this race as a preparation but I think we may have been too ambitious. He loves this course and distance and I think he will give a good account of himself.”

Howells labelled Kapil, Braggadacio and the Kotzen runners Big City Life and Fabiano as the dangers but was confident that Tropical Empire had all the right credentials.

Many expected Equus champion Pocket Power to use this race as a warm-up for the Champions Season but master trainer Mike Bass decided to miss the race for hopefully easier pickings in the gelding’s preparation.

Speaking at Greyville last Friday evening he said that there was a Pinnacle Plate coming up that would suit his charge’s preparation. “It’s a long season with the Vodacom Durban July put back to the end of the season. I don’t want to give him a hard preparation. His main target is the Rising Sun Gold Challenge (Grade 1) (WFA), after that we will see how it goes and take it from there.”

Hotline's Blue Tiger is the boy for this race. His narrow defeat last time would have made a treble pay me 7k if he had won. A good run coming off of a rest none the less.

Had to edit made no sense

Forest Path @ 33/1 a lively outsider and is my ew punt. Goes well on this track, good prep run over sprint distance last time out, Muzi will give him a nice ride from a good draw.
