That show exposes,to me,how little some "racing related" people know about the area of form.
In discussing what info is needed in a form guide Gardner was told by Bruss that the breeder is important in form study.Breeding may be important, especially in horses attempting new distances but the breeder??????
Gardner has been doing the job for years(and it tells)........has he never heard of "asking the customer"

yesterday i was asked to accompany several racegoers and a trainer to meet with Phumelela's ceo Riaan Du Plessis to discuss the tote, later in the meeting Riaan said he wanted to give punters the best possiable infomation on racing, when i mentioned formgrids to him he said he had never heard of formgrids, the punters with me could not believe that none of his merry men had showed him the site

I don't care what anyone says your site is the best by far to study form- recently had a horse run that was the worst on the day from 4 1160m races(about 45-50 horses) - I used the LBH tool to find this in seconds - difficult for my trainer to then tell me it was not a bad run - similarly got another fair horse that has good form and a quick 5 second look using Formgrids confirms this. A division better than anything else and with proper funding could offer so much more. Not consulting formgrids before punting a horse is like buying a car without a test drive - just plain stupid!! Keep up the GREAT work David and your team.

A bit like Raymond Ackerman saying he'd never heard of Handy Andy - No wonder the roots are rotten when the CEO is so far removed from the source of income - sad

Formgrids a mile ahead of anything else. Its a simple user friendly site and what impresses me the most is how quickly its updated. Formgrids is permanently in my favorites bar. I know of many trainers, jockeys and jockey's agents that only use formgrids.

if formgrids ws supported by PGE it would certainly lift turnovers,,people play when they know something

not if you want them to play on every race Mr A - You cannot be banned from a casino for winning on the slots(Sweden, France etc) but you can if you can count cards(Local Racing)- The more punters that keep rolling their cash into unknown guess markets the better for turnover. If punters start to pick their races because they have studied the worse the bottom line - I have a mate that waits for a massive strike once per month on a horse he finds using your site - If all punters were more selective the tote would be out. The tote relies on the greed and disease to earn its way. Punters will back blindly into pools that are ridiculously small without thinking - your service is aimed at minimising loss something that PGE does not want as are many other things(barrier trials, horse weights, sectional timing) A nice shiny cover and increasing the paper quality in Racing Express are far more important than having an Index (had to laugh at this) or horse weights in the publication. Reminds me of the guy that owns a 'banger' that barely goes 60km an hour but has a sound system worth 10k and mags worth 6k as part of his 'babe magnet'

mr h very good post,,, when I used to play on betfair(english account) with 200 pounds I would play(win-lose) for about 3 months ongoing, betting on most races as free time allowed,,,so generated lots of turnover/takeout but all guys have different styles of play, thats my relaxing play,,hope your mate keeps finding winners,,, years ago when i took punting seriously we also only punted one or two a month,,,
