Sorry I wasn't happy with the ride. Fayd'herbe is a WORLD CLASS jockey and can ride them REAL hard. Thought his ride was TAME.

There was a time when it was an offence for the jockey to look back at all........I guess the reason was so that he couldn't be sure he was waiting for the right horse!

It was tame. The issue is, why? In the true tradition of conspiracy theorists we assume the worst and gloss over other possible explanations. One thing my aborted law career taught me is that very few things are as black-and- white as they are made out to be.

My sources tell me was questioned about his ride.
Where can a man find the stipe report?
Gatvol, I was at races
I do not agree with you that Karl Neisius did not have to get serious.
He rode his horse hard to the line

Roger,
What are you talking about.I was the one who originally pointed out the soft ride by Fayd"herbe.I never said a word about neisius not having to get serious.

Are you talking about Neisius?
Because it looked like he was riding for his life to me.
So if youre talking about Neisius
I have to disagree.
Looks like B FH taking it VERY easy on his mount

BFH's riding is questionable....on the fence, no interference, should have been home and dry, with one or two hits with the whip.
This brings back controversial recollections of his July ride.
Gatvol, I can understand your reason for been upset

Oh dear...
Jockey B Fayd’herbe, the rider of FRANKIE DE WHEELS, was questioned regarding his riding of the gelding in the latter stages and in particular the reason he did not use his crop in this part of the race. Jockey B Fayd’herbe said that when he secured his run on the inside his horse had responded well and had been able to lead under a hand ride only. He said that his horse started to tire late in the race and he was afraid that if he began to use his crop that FRANKIE DE WHEELS might change legs and lose momentum. Mr Fayd’herbe’s explanation was noted and after viewing the patrol film it was decided to take no further action.

For a seasoned jock to give that pathetic excuse is laughable. The reason FDW never went on with it was because Bernard never got stuck into him. Plenty horses get tired but its up to the jock to ensure they get the most out the horse. From the replay it doesn't even look as though FDW is stopping anyway.
I've seen Murtagh, Anton, Tony McCoy, Ruby Walsh etc virtually carry their dead tired horses over the line. The funny thing is what is palpably obvious to all and sundry was not even given a mention on the Bass website. One of the connections could have had the balls to say Faydherbe never rode the horse out properly, maybe he was under instructions cause the stable money was down.
I accept that stable tactics go on all the time but the problem I have is that the stewards are inconsistent, if Andrew Fortune was in the irons it would have been a fine and a suspension...
