Strange racing in UK, "Rippling Ring"?
15 years 11 months ago
Good morning, just having a look at the racing in the UK today.
You can help Hibby? Harness racing from Musselburgh, Arabian racing from Newbury and 2 jump meetings from Newton Abbott and Stratford.
McCoy must be followed "again" he should win the opener on Fongoli and he has the ride on Rippling Ring, and with a bit luck he can make the difference to the potential "star", or should I say fallen star.
Classic Swain is the banker at Stratford.
good punting!

Have just taken away my bedside photo of Lester Piggott and relace with Tony McCoy. A big kiss for AP tonight.

Musselburgh delighted by harness crowd
OFFICALS at Musselburgh were on Sunday delighted by the public's response to the decision to switch two days of harness racing including the sport's most prestigious race from its traditional slot to the weekend.
The Musselburgh Fair Day Races have been run since 1893, and until this year the two-day meeting had been held on a Tuesday and Wednesday. However the decision to move to the weekend in an attempt to draw a wider audience proved a success as more than 2,500 people came through the turnstiles for Sunday's card which included three races shown live on Racing UK and concluded with the final of the £15,000 Famous Musselburgh Pace Cup.
Racecourse general manager Bill Farnsworth said: "It was a good two days, with great racing and some very good horses. I'm no expert but they tell me it doesn't get any better than this."
Sunday's meeting featured the heats and final of the Famous Musselburgh Pace Cup plus three invitational races, with the main event going the way of red hot favourite Laneside Lexus who went off odds on after wining his heat very impressively.
Looking to the future, Farnsworth added: "It is like the Gold Cup so the harness racing crowd will come whatever day it is on, but it would be good if it could get a regular slot on TV and in the betting shops, so we will sit down and review the situation."
