Good morning, just watching the replays and seen Daphne being interview for the last race, well done with Ha Ha, you had the last laugh, I am sure you backed it as it was your type of price, if you read this all the best in KZN.
ps took it in the competition, txs.

Hope it triggers a sequence a winners for you. Well done Daphers, I thought of you when I saw the result. Night Fire is doing well and I still owe you a photo or two.
Don't know if you caught it on TT but they referred to the connections as Tom and Colin, the 2 brothers. Lol.

Thanks! It was a great day - yes I had a big bet by my standards (R50 each way!). Never managed to catch the re-runs so haven't seen how much of an idiot I made of myself on the interview yet!
The win was really special for the Scott yard for a few reasons. Firstly, HaHa's mother, Amusement, was Colin's first winner as a trainer and Ha Ha was her first foal. It's also the first winner that the stable has owned 100%.
I got was so excited that you'd have thought that a) I owned the horse and b) it had won the July (and not a maiden plate!)
Have to say that the winter mornings at Summerveld are way more pleasant than in JHB!

Daphne is too modest so I will tell you the real story here.
Ha Ha was earmarked for retirement and no further races were planned with the horse sold in principle as a hack. Daphne loves this horse and wrote the horses name in the noms book. To please Daphne they ran the horse, not expecting anything ( that is nobody except Daphers). The rest is history.
Ha Ha has now gone to the new lucky owner and hopefully will enjoy retirement. That's the way to do it, go out on a high note.
Well done Daphers.
