Interesting what the New Log will be - surely after today Madison Valley and On My Honour would be on the log .....

Poor run from See it Again, probably the most fragile horse turning for home. It almost always loses stride or goes off balance in a tight run looking for gap, case in point a few of its last runs.

No doubt Regulation won't run, will never get it. And Pacaya run was worst of its career. Should not get a run in the based on current performance.

Oriental Charm looked like ge went hard, very hard in fact. All out to win it, it wonder how much left in the tank. No way with 60 or 59k
kgs he runs pillar to post and wins over 2200m. The 3yr olds will catch him. I think Dave the King was never going to beaten, rather surprised with the tactics on Oriental Charm, as opposed to bring him on, it seemed like they tried to bowl a googly and snatch one over the champ over 1600m.

No doubt Eight on Eighteen will run. Snaith if he has another horse in the July they will start 50-1 and will run in the last 3 of the race. Its either run the 3yr old star and have a very good chance of winning, or go eat a bunny chow and watch some other trainer win it

Cannot see COUSIN CASEY and POMODORO'S JET running.

SELUKWE and MY BEST SHOT will definitely run.

 

I guess it would depend on how the 'Panel' rates these horses after this weekend - I agree that all of Pacaya, Legend of Arthur, Mucho Dinero, Let's Go Now and Cousin Casey will probably be taken out - or at least some of these will relegated from the Log by the Panel. 

Purple Pitcher has little chance on his performance in the Gold Challenge, while imo Pomodoro's Jet has not shown anything this distance, so imo would lose his No 20 position on the first log; then See It Again (depending on how the Panel sees his run on Saturday), may no longer be top weight - that honour should fall to Gladatorian or Oriental Charm. Also I think that Future Swing might also fall by the wayside

Today, Choisaanada might be supplemented as he beat Confederate (No 6 on the First Log) fair and square only receiving 1,5 kgs, while I think Olivia's Joy ran below par and I rate Immediate Edge 111 - we will see ...

I think Future Swing won't get a run, but maybe Okavango may sneak in with a 3rd in Daily News.

Legend of Arthur may still get a run, given his win over distance in the Turf feature in April.

Oriental Charm will be top weight, as he almost won the grade 1 and Dave the King is the highest rated horse in the country if I'm not mistaken.

From now to the July, 3 weeks to go, no other horse can really be added to the mix. Garrix had a tough campaign, it raced 3 times in few weeks. If they not worked him to the bone he could of been a late entry, but now that horse has an extra 2 races under his clock. He will be fresh for the Cape, and it won't surprise me if he makes a turn for the Jhb weak summer cup with big cash on offer.

I agree they both will run - My Best Shot is interesting - on my ratings is rated above Immediate Edge 

Given the season Greef has had don't write him off winning the July ! 

GLADATORIAN looks the one to take out of this weekend... Big July runner
