I read an article where Striker mentions an overseas campaign to Ireland and he has agreed to ride the horse. Will try and locate and post . This was before the July so things might have changed.

I also thought the Garden Province was a bit controversial - it seemed to me that our champion jockey tried to conserve as much as possible giving Double Grand Slam every chance to see out the 1600 - but in doing that he did run into a bit of trouble himself - so imo we are not sure yet if DGS does get a 1600 - and I agree, it was a great ride on the day to get Humdinger up on the line 

It sounds like Striker's problem started when Shoemaker bled and was pulled out of race ? He has to check and lost his position. Like you say Frodo you need a lot of luck to win the July and See it Again hasn't had that .
