Life after Cheltenham "What's going on"

Good morning all and it’s time to get back to normal after a stunning 4 day festival at Cheltenham.
We had good coverage and the man pushing the buttons between various racing centre's on channel 240 did an excellent job.

The highlights for me were the following:

The crowd and the atmosphere 👌
The horses
👌
Gaelic Warrior **
Ballyburn *****
State Man ****
LOSSIEMOUTH *****

Can you Imagine next year's Champion Hurdle if you add Constitution Hill into the equation.

Fact to File ****
Possibly Gold Cup next year vs Galopin Des Champs

Teahupoo ***

Jasmin De Vaux ****
If it takes to Hurdles?

El FABIOLO will be given another chance and probably will try the Champion Chase again but will likely find one better. It was basically the only shock result over the four days.

Last but not least
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS *****

This one ensured a good week for the punters. A couple of close seconds would have made a big difference, but no complaints from my side 😀

So what do we talk about this weekend?
Sunday we are off to Joburg for St Paddy’s day with our Kyalami family. Next weekend we are off to see our KZN family for Easter as well as to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
What can we say about the rugby, can’t really believe that Scotland got beat by Italy after the bad decision against France and should have been in a far better position against Ireland.
Scotland are 8/1ish and with 15.5 points start in the handicap, they are a must punt.

On the local front we saw decent results in PE yesterday there was lots of BLING but Richard keeps bringing home the winners, I was looking for the thread on the site to check his progress vs Anthony’s record but to no avail.

We have a double header today from Turffontien and Kenilworth and some fancied runners should go close and the exotics are worth a punt.

Let’s Play Poker
Quick Trip

Aristotle
Ice Rain

Can give us an early yankee

We have all been on a high with racing and sport this last week.

"What's going on?"

Not sure what we can do to change the major events that are taking place on the planet.
In SA we continue to have horrible service delivery, power outages, water shortages and kidknapping. .
While overseas the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues with Putin about to be re-elected or death to the opposition...
The Gaza Strip humanitarian crisis is beyond belief.
Middle East, Sudan, climate change etc 😢

We should all try and spare a thought for people less fortunate than ourselves.

Good Punting and may your God be with you 🙏
