race 3 Jet Bund a long time maiden but gets his chance here. Give Us A Smile main danger. Our filly Countess of the Stars has been very disappointing, and hoping that she shows some improvement on turf.
Race 4 Then in Focus well in at the weights as he is now rated 76 so should be carrying 2kg more, and also gets 2.5kg allowance. Tough to beat. Open if he fails.
race 5 Competitive. Storm Commander very consistent is the one to beat. On the Guest List and Trip to Barberton fair form. Soft Touch has lost her way in PE but is way down in the ratings and if showing a glimmer of her CT form can upset at the weights.
Race 6. Open. Concerto has the most scope for improvement. Regina Belissima fair Gauteng form. Triomphe good debut win and could surprise back on turf after 3 poor poly runs.
Our filly Lady Renee did not handle the kickback on poly. She is limited, but has been running against stronger in CT. 1000m is on the sharp side, but she could surprise at long odds.
