URGENT UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF INTERIM SUSPENSION – TRAINER TONY PETER

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that following an incident on Saturday morning, 25 November 2023, and the uncooperative nature of the stable representative and persons present at the time at the stables of Trainer Mr Tony Peter at Turffontein Racecourse, the remaining horses that were carded to race following the running of Race 1 were withdrawn by the Stipendiary Stewards.  An immediate investigation was opened into this incident necessitating an interim suspension being placed on Trainer Tony Peter in terms of Rule 91.2.


As a result of the aforementioned, the preliminary investigation has been completed and consequently the interim suspension imposed on Trainer Tony Peter has been lifted forthwith.


An Inquiry has been opened into the matter and the NHA has also put certain safeguards in place to ensure the welfare of horses that are carded to participate in races, thereby maintaining the integrity of the industry.

......what a sh!t show.....the greater powers seem to have spoken and NHRA is answerable to those that fund it.....I hope that there is no trade off again..... and this also gets stuffed under that rather thick rug.....:S

......this has cost the industry most dearly and those that orchestrated this badly timed action are shown the door.....:huh:

Since I was fined for swearing (I said s…t) in the boardroom because of Vee and his massive attitude, I’ve said we need to be rid of Jekyll and Hyde as well as Inspector Cluseau.

We need to be rid of the top management asap as they even control the stipes . We have some top class stipes that are brave enough to stay in SA but even their hands are tied when it comes to certain issues…

If I was in charge of 4Racing……..
I would be writing to Vee Moodley this morning and telling him that until NHA can start doing a proper job instead of using their power to belittle people, that 4Racings contribution to NHA will be paid into a Trust acct

Here I fully agree with Mark.
They obviously think they got something on the Peter stable,or they have a vendetta against them,but they doing such a bad job of proving it that even if they did have evidence they would get taken apart in court cause they don't seem to be going about it in the right way.
And yes I would also get rid of those two.

the bottom line is the punter got screwed again and nobody in the industry cares when will the addict punters learn

Let's hope some middle of the road employee doesn't carry the can for this
