Higher and Higher for the ARC .

Good morning all as we try and hit a few highs from a sporting weekend of note.

The highlight should be the ARC on Sunday which also has another 5 group ones on the big day from Longchamp.

Plus don't forget Saturday from the same venue where they cover two group ones and three group two races.

Obrien and Moore in action

Henry Longfellow

Highfield Princess (owes me plenty)

Kinross

More updates to follow on site.

As far as the ARC the unbeaten Ace Impact is 5 from 5 looks a worthy favourite.

However Hukum, Continuous,  Westover, Feed The Flame, Fantastic Moon and Bay Bridge will make it a real test of stamina.

I have backed the Japanese horse Through Seven Seas with no reference to the recent weather in the Cape, it's due to the fact of its form against Equinox, the world's best racehorse and could not resist the 20/1.

My memories of this race are Mill Reef and Dancing Brave and not forgetting Nijinsky getting beat 😪

Also good racing from Newmarket today where Moore, Dettori, Murphy, Buick and Marquand will all be fighting for honors.

Buick probably has the best mounts but Shuwari could be the banker.

Plenty action at Headquarters on Saturday with:

Royal Lodge: can go to Capulet for Obrien and Moore

Cheverly Park:  maybe Tom on Relief Rally in very open contest

Middle Park: River Tiber Moore vs Vandeek should be a good contest.

Cambridgeshire where Greek Order is a clear 5/1 fav for Oisin however a difficult race.

On the local front we have the highly regarded Charles Dickens running at Durbanville  weather permitting.

The guys are doing a wonderful job to fight against the elements.

Let's not forget the Ryder Cup, Europe evens and always spectacular and full of emotions and drama.

There is plenty activity on the World Cup thread with plenty views on who will eventually lift the Cup.

Latest betting little change

SA and Ireland still top the boards at 3/1

7/2 the French and 9/2 NZ

England 12/1 and Scotland 150/1 😉

We also have betting on the Summer Cup and Met with plenty of speculation as to the outcome in advance.

Football has taken a back seat to rugby but I am delighted with the latest Newcastle results.

Just a lift before the weekend to make us Higher and Higher from Jackie Wilson .

Good Punting 👍

Great week ends racing

From Oz - 3 Grade 1 races and a grade 2 where Alcohol Free runs.
From USA - 2 Grade 1 races and 11 grade 2 where Codys wish runs in the Vosburgh from Saratoga
Japan has the grade 1 Sprinters stakes where * NAMURA CLAIR looks for her first G1 title. Has a 5-for-8 record over 1,200m and all four Graded race wins have come over 6 furlongs.

Good morning from a hot 🔥 sunny Pretoria.
The sporting weekend has also been hot 🔥

Ryder Cup where Europe are on fire.
The Scots were also hot 🔥 last night and I have taken a punt for them to go further in the competition 😳

As far as the Premier league we are getting a few surprises.
Can Liverpool or Arsenal actually beat Man City to lift the trophy 🏆
Newcastle top 4 again for Scotia.

We have Greyville on the local card today and obviously the focus is on Paris.
It was wonderful to see Trueshan win again 👏
I was also impressed by Vandeek at Newmarket.
My feelings were that this looks a 2000gns winner but the connections appear to think he is a sprinter?
City of Troy and Henry Longfellow from Obrien stay the favourites but I will wait to see what happens in the Dewhurst.

As far as today from Longchamp.
I see my 20/1 shot is now 10/1 Through Seven Seas.
There are obviously easier punts today and Al Ghadeer and Kinross for Frankie are possible bankers for exotics.
Don't forget Highfield Princess at 3/1.

Good Punting 👍

Swazi born Classic winning jockey, Sean Levey, is definitely one of the better jockeys in the UK. Yet another Group 1 winner for him.

It is still to be decided whether the unbeaten and sensational Arc winner, Ace Impact, will either go straight to stud or head to the Japan Cup or to be put on ice until next season.

Arc runner-up Westover has his eyes on the Breeders’ Cup.
