Somewhere..out there some are not doing their work...Horses like the MDK inmate are the ones we need info on. He was obviously injured, so did he have an op? How has he been doing ect ect. They are showing us (by booking fourie ) he is ready to go....but surely soebodycouldve asked the yard. I guess we will here in the post RACE interview

With 2 good frontrunners and a few pressures in the race the pace should be genuine upfront which will lead to RULE BOOK and BATTLEGROUND coming home hard and fast late on....should be a cracking finish with ABSOLUTE VALUE being a fighter aswell...Add OVER TWO YOU and take some SWINGS.ex.trf

Usual winter fare at the Big T - interesting that some runners with reasonable potential takes on the harder going - thoughts ....

R1: Obviously Lady Fallon on her debut would stroll in - only possible danger imo is Play With Fire - if finding the form behind Ivy League - who has won twice subsequently and that race has produced many winners - so the odss are enticing :huh:

R2: Another runner with an impressive performance in his debut makes his comeback - as pointed out, some questions remain on why he was off so long, but the booking of Fourie indicates that he should not need the run, so hard to beat on that; Command Pilot also made a useful debut and could make the favorite work hard - both of them not drawn ideally; not a lot between King of the Seas and Lord Danon Platina who both should improve - this would at least be an indication to the chances of Try Me later; Copper Mist next best of the raced runners imo

R3: Outer Dimension has found the right field and any improvement on her fair debut would see her in the winner's enclosure - being out of a Galileo mare indicates that the trip of 1800 should not hold any fears; the competition seems moderate; for me Bomber Grigio (with Fourie getting the ride) may challenge, while Solo Diva has shown glimpses of form, but needs to do more imo

R4: Very competitive handicap and many have chances - for me Banha Bridge at the odds look the value

R5: Another tough looking handicap; Napoleon looks the right one, but his one below-par run came over this track and trip; Silver Sanctuary won on debut and is a half-sister to Safe Passage, so the step up to 1600 should be to her liking - biggish weight for a 3yr-old filly, but she may be up to it; Kings Express improved a lot in blinkers and now gets Fourie, so worth considering, while Prince of Kildare surprised when stepping out ot the 1600, so may be the surprise package at the weights

R6: I thought Callmewhenyouneedme won easier last time than the margin of victory suggest, so must have a chance of following up; main dangers probably Sharapova (seems the stable elect as Simple Simple probably better on the Inside track) and Queen of Camelot who has Fourie riding from pole position, but does seem to have her issues

R7: Try Me top weight, but this is a weak field, so not a lot to beat imo; Gilda Gray better further imo, so the main danger could be Tsitsikamma Pearl - late bloomer as a 5yr-old and does get a few pounds from Try Me; veteran Big City Girl may place again, but it has been a while (632 days) since her last win, which may be a pointer

R8: I do fancy Written in the Sand a bit from Mamaquera - Maboneng the only other that could feature

R9: Tough handicap to close - Simply Magic my first choice from Red Carpet Girl and Law of Success - but not easy
