Goodbye "when will I see you again"

Good morning as we reach another sporting weekend and say goodbye to Goodwood.

We still have 2 days left and let's be honest the bookies have had the best of the results at this stage.

The highlight was PADDINGTON winning the Sussex in heavy going.

The Obrien/Moore record breaking combination continues.

The world is an oyster or marmalade sandwich for Paddington and the Juddmonte (3/1) looks the obvious next step with Cox Plate, (10/1) Breeders Cup and ARC (12/1) all options.

Tom Marquand has been the show stopper and his front riding tactics on Quickthorn was brilliant.

The French champion clash with Nashwa never materialized as the jockey who once had a pizza empire tried to slice past Ryan but was not given "mushroom " and will live to fight another day.

Tom also rode a superb race on Desert Hero and its possible the new King could have a St Leger winner (6/1).

Today is the punters day and I suggest the treble: Nostrum, Highfield Princess and Tom on Hamish to repair the damage.

If you want to add Frankie on the Saturday with Free Wind and go for a Yankee?

After his good win on Kinross he is considering extending his retirement.

As far as the Goodwood coverage on channel 210 it was again spectacular and our racing chaps can try and emulate this type of coverage for the Summer Cup.

I am aware 4Racing have been trying .....
Maybe have Bonski again on horseback interviewing the winning jockey on the way back to the winners circle.

Niko with the Greek Bible (Computaform) asking the Peter's stable for some divine intervention on how to get to the winners box.

Talk to the punters at various parts of the stadium to share the vibe and get their opinions.

Plus show the betting from bookies to establish where the big money is?

The ladies World Cup football has also come to the front with a great result from SA at 11/2 and massive odds available vs the Dutch consideration it's only a 2 horse race excluding the draw. SA are around 12/1 .

It's become a bit like the tennis I only took an interest when pictures of Alisha Lehmann kept popping up on Facebook.

Equus awards are on the 23rd and it was a bold late move from Tarry and connections to win the Champions Cup over 1800 Mt to dethrone Charles Dickens at the death.

Good Punting 👍

Not sure when we will see Paddington again and to get you in the mood for a classy Equus evening.

Was on a low when Nostrum was beaten by Frankie but the money was down from the punters and Highfield Princess was fabulous.
