Hi All

Just My assesment of the Racing Today.

R3..royal guide

R4..tough race ..have to go wide

R5..Amber Rock would have won if it didn't race green last time..include Fire and Flames, Lucky Lad, Guy Gibson and Ripple Effect

R6..Princess Calla (I liked it even before Master Archie was scratched) ..roll with punches and william robertson for the trifecta

R7..Billy Bowlegs (one i like for the July together with Cousin Casey and Rain in Holland)

R8..Kiss Me Captain and Bon Vivant..add others and include lucy english

R9..my best bet ..bless my stars ..light of the moon for a place

Good Luck.

Could be a case of 'famous last words' again as this does not look that hard imo ..... thoughts ....

R1: Can't find too many spooks here - unless of course one of the first-timers are catching pigeons at home - but we will only find that out if the money talks closer to race time; on raced form I think Cala Muretta looks the right one from Phantom Express who is drawn right down the inside - at least this should show up any draw bias early seems Vivacious Vicky finding the market support - obviously enters the reckoning - still prefer CM to PE though

R2: Looking at the form, Max the Magician is the right one - out of a Rambo Dancer dam he should not have any problems with the 1600 (even being out of What a Winter); he does have to give Dakota Cat 6kgs, so that is a bit of a leveler; Holocene improved last time and should improve more this trip (although the dam does not drive that point home), but on collateral form he should be held by Max favorite's stable mate Battle of Kursk made a fair debut and also gets 5.5 kgs from Max - so also needs consideration

R3: This looks a match race between Mo the Man and Free Movement who was really disappointing last time, but may be worth another chance; Royal Guide a very expensive yearling and has only debuted as a 4yr old - would have to step up, but may do so this tripsee that Royal Guide is finding market support - so can't be ignored

R4: Fillies Nursery, so hard to tell which filly will improve most; all 3 of American Graffiti, Leaving Las Vegas and Mrs Geriatrix have won consecutive races, so those 3 must be considered; debut winners trying for two-in-a-row include Rani of Kittur and Cullinan Blue; so a bit of guesswork, but I do think Mrs Geriatrix has plenty going for her despite being drawn towards the insideCullinan Blue finding the support in the market, so needs to be included

R5: Colts Nursery - and more guesswork; Lucky Lad still unbeaten and should hold the filly Amber Rock; not a lot between Pure Predator and Fire and Flames, who looks the value imoGuy Gibson not friendless either, so yet another to consider

R6: Computaform Sprint; Master Archie has this at his mercy if maintaining his impressive local form; Princess Calla does look better over an extended sprint and Isivunguvungu has finished close to her before, but he does have the inside draw - don't think anything else can match thesewith the scratching of Master Archie, many will opt for Princess Calla - of course she can win, but in the Cape Flying (over 1000) both Isivunguvungu and Bartholdi (also an inside draw) beat her, while Sheela is best over 1000 and has a stand-side draw - so I'm including these

R7: Champion's Challenge - for me if Puerto Manzano is back to the form that saw him win the Summer Cup, he will take plenty of beating; Rain in Holland imo not in the same league as PM at these weights, but should still finish 2nd; don't really fancy any of the others at the weights PM drifting in the market - which opens up the race imo; on my ratings not a lot between both Red Saxon, Aragosta and Rain in Holland - and I suppose one has to include Billy Bowlegs (although for me he has lots to find at these weights)

R8: I do fancy a bit of Bon Vivant; has to beat Kiss Me Captain, while the Cape challengers could featureFull Velocity improvement expected on her last two efforts, so warrants consideration as well

R9: Competitive; Gilded Butterfly my first choice, but has never gone 2000 - still she should get the trip imo; Bless My Stars the biggest danger imo from Terra Time; think Emirate Gina will put her last poor effort behind herBless My Stars does look the right one looking at the market (and stable has expressed confidence - still I have been burnt many times before on changing my mind, so I'll still include GB

R10: Disappointing field; Shangani has to give lots of weight away, but should be good enough; the one I fancy to run second is Future Pearl

Enjoy B)

.....would tread carefully here as there are more than a few 1st timers that may have a bit of ability.....

.....and the 1st four all 1st timers finished way ahead of the fancied raced runners.....

Two opportunities to ask the connections on Puerto Manzano - nothing forthcoming - very disappointing :(
