The Punisher ran his best race just 14 lengths off - may be coming into form :P

The top 3 finishes in the first race have had 25 runs combined and only placed once and they finished miles ahead of the rest.

I missed it but the winner ran 4th first time blinkers on grass - Every run since was poor on Poly - Obviously did not like that surface - I wonder why he was not tried on grass in 6 runs

In KZN and Port Elizabeth, I normally look for this scenario and vice versa, Poly vs Turf. You can find a good few longshots.

In the UK there is a lot of horses with different turf and artificial surfaces ratings.

I've never seen the harm in alerting the racing public if bookies price up a false favourite that's no good, if it's a bomb fair enough , keep it quiet. Is that the way you look after your sponsors? Used to happen every Friday and we find out 5 minutes before the race. If I was betting they would have caught me, That Sam Moisa interview was brilliant

It should be retired.

About 2 weeks back, a horse in the UK, The Last Lion, got put down after breaking down in a race. It won a Grade 1 has a 2yo and went to stud. It was sub fertile and after 4 to 5 years it returned to racing. It was its third start when tragedy struck.

Here, locally, Bushmanland should have not returned to racing. I think it was 14 years when it died in a race after making a come back after nearly 8 to 10 years.

I think maybe he is used as a teaching tool for workriders by Maree

That was Neo Quale's first win in 169 rides.
Thank goodness he was on the best horse in the race.

Don't be surprised if we see Hollywood bets on the front of the Liverpool or Man U shirts next season.
