Why sprint races for the whole card (8/9)? Never been a fan simply because if your runner fails to jump on terms then you have no chance.

Thoughts on a challenging card - need to watch the draws in the earlier races - could be a bias especially in the bigger fields

R2: Far Away Winter seems pass the post based on betting support - for me I think Rose Velvet much better odds for first 3 and could prefer 1000

R3: Raced runners have moderate form, some first-timers finding support in the market, so who knows?

R4: Aga Heat races without blinkers again, but looks to have only Risky Business and Mercurial Jet to beat

R5: Very tough race - would not want to be caught short; West Coast Lover and Into the Future have as much chance as the rest and 10/1 looks decent value

R6: Miss Elegance looks impossible to oppose at the weights - however drifting in the market, so may be needing the run after a break - so Paisley Park a definite inclusion

R7: Look Yourself in good form and looks value at the odds; Midnight Gem also in good form and definite inclusion; for me I think Benguela Cove has more to do, but may be better than rated, while Bequest as mentioned gets Khumalo in the irons and keeps dropping in the ratings, so could be worth including

R8: Another open contest - lots with chances - interesting that Khumalo gets the ride on What Gives who he won on winning her maiden - subsequent runs have been poor, but could be a surprise package

R9: What a Honey ticks a lot of boxes and should go close; biggest danger imo is Petunia who looks very well weighted and should hold Sky Glitter; Java House has been struggling for her 2nd win, but rating keeps on dropping so could feature

Enjoy B)

The top 3 finishes in the first race have had 25 runs combined and only placed once and they finished miles ahead of the rest.

The winner best run was on turf and was only running on the Polytrack recently. Change of trainer. The dam was Graded stakes placed and the dam of Matador Man.

I missed it but the winner ran 4th first time blinkers on grass - Every run since was poor on Poly - Obviously did not like that surface - I wonder why he was not tried on grass in 6 runs
